A new Reuters/Ipsos poll shows national support for presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren has dropped to a new low since August.
Though the Massachusetts senator continues to do well in Iowa, she slipped to just 13 percent support among Democrats in Thursday's survey. That compares with 26 percent for former Vice President Joe Biden and 19 percent for Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
With the Iowa caucuses, in which only party members can vote, just around the corner, South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg has been topping many of the polls in that state, according to an analysis by FiveThirtyEight. He's followed closely by Warren, while Biden and Sanders have been competing for third place.
Warren seemed to be the front-runner just weeks ago, but recent polls show a similar story since the fourth debate, when her rivals for the Democratic nomination unleashed a steady wave of criticism about her health care and tax plans.

(14,971 posts)She is strong and talented.
She accomplished more in one term than another candidate did in a lifetime between the house and senate. Her consumer protection bureau is reason enough to elect her.
Not my first choice, but my second. Go liz, go!

(102,540 posts)While I understand why there is fear around M4ALL, her stances on the 1%, the banks, the non-tax-paying corporations are very damned important.
The attacks have been relentless (not that they haven't likewise on Biden and some other candidates), but they seem really nasty lately toward Warren.
Hang in there, Liz.

(14,971 posts)Bernie has been left alone and hasn't even seen the barrel let alone get some time in one. The media, and russia, has attacked warren mercilessly and she is still standing. Now that pete is rising, they are savaging him. Joe is always being ripped for something.
Everyone but bernie. Why is that do you think?

(67,782 posts)individually, Biden would get about 2600 delegates, Warren would get 1437, everyone else zero.
Of course that's not going to happen, but this demonstrates the strong position Biden is in.

the rule works by CD in most states and if Bernie is at 14.0 he is surely above 15 in quite a few districts. In addition, given Pete's 10.8 is not remotely uniform he is nearly certainly above 15 in many CD's.
