If Biden is the presumptive or actual nominee ... if he so much as gets a bad cold he'll lose the election.
Voters are not going to pick a president based on who is the vice presidential nominee and likely mid-term successor.

I like her. But we need stability before we can move in any direction. Everyone is ripe for it but I think only Joe can lose this for himself. If he stays strong and fights a clean but aggressive fight I think he can get voters who wouldn’t otherwise vote to come out. And we need them. Badly.

There are others I've liked better (Harris), those I've heard out (mayor Pete, Michael bennet, my own governor) and my final choice, Amy Klobuchar. I have the deepest regard for Joe, however, and if he's to be our nominee I'll be glad to support him financially and with my volunteer hours. He's a man of character who cares about people, as are all our candidates (except maybe tulsi). So yes, I'll be on that bandwagon if/ when the time comes.

We've had enough divisiveness.

Civil Rights Leader Dr.Robert Green who worked closely with Dr. Martin Luther King for many years endorses @JoeBiden for President

“Joe Biden is a statesman, leader, and above all else, a unifier. I had the fortune to tell Joe all of this in person when he visited the west side of Las Vegas last month. More than 50 years ago, I personally witnessed his ability to bring together people of different races, cultures, and backgrounds in Newcastle County, Delaware. Today, that kind of leadership is needed to unify our country. Joe possesses exactly the type of leadership that this country needs now. He will heal and unify the soul of our nation. I am proud to stand with Joe and work hard to make sure he is the next President of the United States of America.”

Joe Biden gets major South Carolina endorsement from former Harris backers

Columbia, South Carolina – A prominent group of black women activists in South Carolina that backed Kamala Harris endorsed Joe Biden on Tuesday, further strengthening the former vice president's standing in the first-in-the-South primary state.

Known as "The Reckoning Crew," the group of three dozen women includes current and former elected officials, activists, and faith leaders and has played a critical role in grassroots organizing in the state. Biden's path to the nomination relies heavily on the South Carolina primary, which figures to play an outsized role in determining the party's presidential nominee because of its high percentage of African American voters.

"It's time for us to unite as one and put all of our energy behind the candidate who will not only beat Donald Trump but knows how to fix what he's broken on day one," said the group's founder, Bernice Scott, a former Richland County councilwoman. "And from there, we are confident Joe will continue to build on the history he made with Barack Obama."

I came to Biden by accident.. I didn't really know who I wanted at first.. but when the long knives came out even before he launched I stood up for him against the obvious hits. And, it kept happening so we were kept busy, and finally the more I learned about him the more I liked him for the job better than any of the others.

Plus I had the whole experience of him as President Obama's VP!

I just love Joe's heart so am planning on voting for him in the primary. I live in a later primary state, so expect the choices to have dwindled by then. If the nation falls for drumpf/PUtin lies about Ukraine and Biden (not very likely) and Joe drops out, who knows who will still be in the race? Right now, if Joe's out, I'd probably vote Liz, but could vote for Amy instead? I think that the nation hasn't bought russian repug poison lies about Biden, they probably won't.
