Yang blew it, IMHO, when he criticized D's for "being obsessed over impeachment," and for acting

"like Donald Trump is the cause of all our problems."

DT is the worst President in the nation's history and strongly deserves impeachment. But I haven't heard any Dems anywhere claim DT is the cause of all our problems. He just deliberately goes about making everything worse.

https://www.politico.com/news/2019/12/19/democratic-debate-highlights-088428

All the candidates agreed on the impeachment of Trump, but businessman Andrew Yang was the only one to express reservations about it — all while criticizing the news media.

“What we have to do is we have to stop being obsessed over impeachment, which unfortunately strikes many Americans like a ballgame where you know what the score is going to be,” he said, “and start actually digging in and solving the problems that got Donald Trump elected in the first place. ... The more we act like Donald Trump is the cause of all our problems, the more Americans lose trust that we can actually see what's going on in our communities and solve those problems.”

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

If Yang has a chance it's that: getting people who aren't normally involved in the primary process to get involved (that's why he's been doing retail-level campaigning in Iowa and New Hampshire for over a year now). I think he's right that people like us who participate in political forums are vastly more "plugged in" to what's happening than most Americans, and that the only two headlines most of the country is going to notice are "Trump Impeached" and "Trump Acquitted".

no one said ever that " #45IMPEACHED is the cause of all our problems".. those are Yang's words.

All our Candidates should be United behind Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic House Dems.

Here's Gabbard gaslighting & whining about it..

In full statement, Gabbard calls impeachment a "partisan process", Democrats "extreme".

Independent and swing voters, which we need, cannot be assumed to be as gung go about impeachment as people on DU. Especially after a year of "ACQUITTED" talking points, if the Senate proceeds as expected.

despite offering several fresh, new ideas. I'd give the same advice to tulski:

If you want to win our primary, take a page from Warren or any of the others. Those of us who viscerally hate trump & what he's done to our nation do not wish to be lectured to about trump, deplorables, or the dangers of impeachment.

..the attention they crave. Enough of this crap. He is not qualified to step into the presidency especially after the shitstorm of trump. Impeachment is the defining moment of our time right now and if we don’t get this right our republic is dead.

Not to mention democrats do address the issues of our communities. Getting the senate to act on it is not our fault. So that’s one load of bs slamming Democrats. Anyone who keeps attacking democrats is not worthy of my attention.
