Promising a 'Radical Realignment of Our Priorities,' Ocasio-Cortez Tells Los Angeles Crowd

That the Sanders Campaign Can Change the Country

(snip)

The first-term New York Democrat told the crowd that the fact pundits and politicians only care about how to fund government programs when they benefit the poor, but not when they're for war or tax breaks for the rich, shows that budgets are moral documents that determine a society's priorities.

"They tell us, dollar and dime, how much we value ourselves and our priorities," said Ocasio-Cortez. "In that order."

"And what this campaign is about," she continued, "is a radial realignment of our priorities in the United States of America."

The crowd for the rally was estimated at 20,000 people.

When he addresses the F-35 housed in VT that now have nuclear capabilities, though are not currently armed then I will listen to what he has to say.

“He portrays himself one way in his presidential campaign, but hypocritically ignores the people here that he represents,” Hills said. “He supports military jobs in Vermont, yet glosses over the fact this is all part of the same military industrial complex he tells the nation he is against.”

Though I may criticize you from time to time if you do run. Vetting, after all.

To the rest of your comment, of course there is military spending in many districts...how many of them are 406 Million and that is just the jets. Plus how many others are calling for cuts in the budget while benefiting from them?

Lastly:

Bernie Sanders is wrong — twice — in claim about defense budget voting record

Our Ruling
In a campaign video that has been viewed almost 320,000 times on Twitter alone, Sanders made the statement that he has voted against all of Trump’s defense budgets and that he is the only candidate in the Democratic primary to do so.

It is true the Vermont senator has publicly opposed all of the president’s military spending packages, but he has not voted against all of them. Sanders is also wrong to say he is the only candidate in the Democratic primary who has voted against the proposals. In fact, Gabbard is the only candidate who can make that claim.

We rate this statement as False.

Yet Cornel West is not the mouth piece I would want in my campaign, when AOC is calling for:

"And what this campaign is about," she continued, "is a radial realignment of our priorities in the United States of America."

West called Obama:

Called him a House Negro.

On NPR he and Tavis said he was not black enough.
