Oh for the love of GOD.. calm down...

You got a poll with Trump at 50% ..Biden at 30%.. Sanders 20%, ..Warren 16% etc etc... Trump is up because guess what people.. he is the only one running in the Republican party right now..anyone else trying to run has zippers.. think it out.. when we get to one candidate he or she.. (add the numbers up) are going to be what? ... Our only problem will be is if some ass hat refuses to vote for the Democrat because their choice in the primary/caucus did not make it..

Biden said he would think about a republican.. that was a gotcha question to elicit just the reaction some here put out. No candidate should ever say they would not consider someone else just because they have an R or D behind their names. He handled that very deftly..

Jezzus beans people lay off the coffee..

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

What percentage of Dem voters even gets involved before the primaries are over?

Biden is running a general election campaign. Has been since day one. He says stuff like this because it's what a lot of people want to hear, especially people who are generally apolitical or don't pay a lot of attention to every minor event that occurs in a campaign.

It seems rather obvious, yet every time one of our candidates says something remotely bipartisan, the usual suspects freak out.

It continues to signal to Republicans that they can say and do anything they want to us and we will continue attacking each and making excuses and kissing their ass.
Obama's greatest failure was trying to be bipartisan with people that, unequivocally, have no desire to act in a bipartisan manner.

For his efforts he got a plethora of executive orders and signing statements that he could never turn into laws and a shelved USSC nomination that Republicans would not even let come up for a vote.

Republicans, both elected and regular citizens, spent 8 YEARS saying some of the most derogatory and racist shit to Obama and we want to keep treating them like they might still want to be friends???? NO.

The ONLY answer to that question is:

"there is not a single Republican fit to hold office, so why would anyone ever choose a Republican?"

Followed up by:

"That is a stupid question. Have you ever asked a Republican presidential candidate that question?"

If you want to lose a lot of independents, members of the largest voting bloc in the country, this would be a great way to start.

Sometimes I wonder if people understand that we have a general election to win once we have a nominee. Alienating as many people as possible before that even starts is a nonsensical strategy.

I say it every day, without hesitation or reservation.

That ANY Democrat or independent could feel otherwise is utterly mindboggling.

Republicans are concentrating innocent children into camps for indefinite detention and speaking in racist and antisemitic tropes daily.

We have now spent years being verbally and in some cases, physically, abused.

There is no redemptive quality in ANY Republican.

The day the Republican party goes the way of the Whigs will be a great day for this nation.

The whole VP question was a bull sh*t question designed to do just what it ended up doing. Getting some Dems to go bat shit crazy as if Biden or any credible Dem would ever pick a Republican. There are days I hate twitter. I know we sometimes get the crazy takes here at DU but if you track them the OP usually picked up the drama du jour on twitter.
