Just changed my Democratic Primary preference to Elizabeth Warren

Previously I supported Pete Buttigieg as the Democratic Primary candidate, but I've since changed my mind to Elizabeth Warren. I still like Pete Buttigieg but his initial impact on me has diminished over time. I think he has a great future as a major player in the Democratic party, but he seems to have lost his way a bit. Maybe it's just me, but when he was an underdog he seemed more dynamic and--I dunno--bold? His calling Trump the "Porn Star President" are words I think he'd be too cautious to utter now. He's lost some of his uniqueness and sparkle in his bid to reach a wider audience. Sort of a watered-down version of his initial candidacy. I think he'll regain his footing, but not in time for 2020.

I've always liked Elizabeth Warren but my initial concerns were that she was too one-dimensional. Amazing when it comes to consumer protections, taking on big banks, etc, but not so great when it comes to things like Foreign Policy, etc. I also felt she might be seen as too radical to the midwestern and southern type voter---the whole "socialist" term being (incorrectly) used to paint her as some sort of communist. But I've gradually changed my mind on that. She speaks to the middle class and lower-income classes with an authenticity that Hillary couldn't master and I think that will overcome any skepticism or fear. As opposed to Pete, Warren seems to be getting better at reaching her audience the longer she is in the race. She is amazing on her feet and I'd trust her with Foreign Policy or pretty much any issue our Nation would run across.

All of that being said I will be grateful to vote for any of the Democratic candidates.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I'm watching all of that very closely. If I feel Warren has a good chance of winning by a comfortable margin, even if not quite as large as Joe Biden's, then I will vote for Warren. If it feels too close for comfort then I will play it safe and go with Joe Biden.

I've always been a big fan of Joe Biden's but I worry that Joe Biden will be more of the same moderate/milquetoast changes, particularly to middle-class tax financial issues like student loan debt. Our family is drowning, we need bolder and faster change.

I wish we could have a real debate amongst the front runners. A debate where the candidates are given more than 90 seconds to reply. I need to hear the candidates' plans in-depth, not just soundbites. I've gone to each candidates' website to research their positions, but I want to hear them talk about them as well.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
