Would a Bloomberg nomination free up DNC cash to help Congressional candidates?

Serious question...if Bloomberg is the nominee and plans to self-finance his run, could the DNC just use the $500 million+ they were preparing to spend for the nominee and just transfer it to the Senate and House races? Would that not be a bonanza of cash to help Pelosi keep her job and elevate Schumer to majority leader? How big of a deal would this be?

I'm not saying that I'm supporting Bloomberg, but this does make you go...hmmm....

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I think he's all in regardless of whether he is the nominee. 33taw Feb 2020 #1

That seems pretty obvious. He's going to spend zillions on Democratic candidates and causes whether or not he's the nominee. He spent a ton in 2018.

Heck, he could just step back and fund the eventual nominee, set up a super pac to target ads at Trump and Republicans now, and buy Fox News. And he probably wouldn’t make a dent in his net worth.

But he isn’t. He just wants to beat Trump. And if he is the nominee, he wants a nice Congress to go with it.
