The one worry I have about Bloomberg is the RW and NRA have used him as the gun grabbing boogeyman for years. While I agree with his position, being so open about it may make for a lot of fear mongering. They love their guns.

Oh no I agree with his platform I just wonder how that may affect November. He has some powerful enemies. No I think it is ridiculous we haven't done anything. As a parent I dont see how someone can value a hobby or object more than children's lives. I am saying it worries me that gives a huge target and the gun lobby wont hesitate to spend and whip people up in a frenzy.

The older candidates would presumably go with a younger VP. Quite a few combinations, for example, of an all-Jewish ticket. At least 4 candidates from the northeast/mid-Atlantic. Only one midwesterner, and a strong candidate for geographic balancing.

An interesting supplemental question might be to identify other VP choices than the candidates still running. Harris, Beto, Bennet for example.

I can't help but think he's trying to buy the presidency. If his polling numbers were higher and threatened Bernie, Pete or Joe, I think Bloomberg's history of misogyny would be more of an issue.

If he was not a billionaire, he would have nothing to offer and no one would care about him. The only reason he stays relevant at all is that he spends an obscene amount of personal wealth on massive ad campaigns. He has no grassroots support at all.

This reminds me so much of what the republicans went through in 2016. The rep establishment did everything they could to stop Trump but he was the only candidate who had a loyal base of support. The dem establishment despises Sanders and will do anything to stop him, yet he is the only candidate with a loyal base of support. Biden was our Jeb Bush, a well funded establishment toady that had no enthusiastic support. I have no doubt Sanders won Iowa and i also have no doubt he is the best chance to beat trump.

Sanders leads going into the convention, can't win the nomination on the 1st ballot, superdelegates throw the nomination to Bloomberg, he loses to Trump, and we get to spend the rest of forever hearing from "reasonable centrists" that this is somehow Bernie's fault.
