LOD says if a candidate can release fund-raising reports,

which they're all doing, they should be able to release their tax returns which are much less complicated than FEC fund-raising reports. He leaned on Bernie especially hard, since Bernie is demanding Trump release his but hasn't done it himself.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Should be easy to add a few more years.

In not, shame on him for not releasing them, and shame on me for giving him a primary vote if he didn't release his returns.

His choice I guess. Seems to add fuel to the fire that he is in it more to disrupt than anything else.

Since tRump is such a liar on this subject and others, I would expect Dems to lead and be more proactive. (And yes I know he is not a Dem)

in order to select the strongest one for the general election. If a candidate won't release their tax returns, gets nominated, and then some financial dirt is discovered, what do we do? Now we have a weakened candidate who has to explain or justify something in order to survive.

Wed Apr 3, 2019, 11:14 PM

Bernie has taken way too long, especially considering how long he has been running, and it is fast becoming a big issue for him the longer he waits. But now all the others running should follow the lead of the four who have done so and release their returns for 10 years. As others have pointed out, it is not that hard. Most everyone keeps their returns for a long time and you would expect long-serving public officials to be able to produce them. If they can't then that raises questions about them.

They can restrict access to the debate stage based on whether you've released at least 10 years of tax returns. If you haven't released your taxes, you don't get to participate in the debates. Period.
