Plea to Amy, Pete and Liz!

Please drop out immediately.

You know and we all know that the ONLY viable opposition to Bernie is Biden and he simply cannot succeed with the moderate vote so divided. The members of this party need a viable choice and we cannot allow Bernie to reach nomination without a valid choice. Yes, we must support him if he is nominated but you’ve all seen the shocking events of the last 24 hours.

It’s time to put country before yogurt personal ambitions and let the moderate support coalesce behind Biden and then we have a fair decision,

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

Biden has a LOT of baggage based on his LONG legislative career AND he hasn't really been able to break out of the pack. He's a good guy, but he really can NOT stand up to the Unhinged Moron.

Most importantly, NO "Bernie Bros" will get behind ANY Dem candidate that they believe is "establishment." Period.

If you believe otherwise, then you need to review the history of the 2016 election. Bernie Bros did NOT get behind HRC, who was one huckuva LOT more qualified than Biden.

A couple of the Clinton links are to polls which I realize aren't actual results but there are other sources speaking about it post-election. The point being that "Bernie Bros" voted for Trump in the same numbers as past elections with other candidates/parties. The lies about Bernie supporters refusing to vote for the eventual nominee in mass numbers is the BS here.

Fully 12 percent of people who voted for Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in the 2016 Democratic presidential primaries voted for President Trump in the general election.

Sun Feb 23, 2020, 04:23 AM

seem to keep repeating what you say.

But - as you also say - some are polls and others are pre-2008 election articles.

I admit that I skimmed these over quickly, but I did NOT find any that gave a percentage or a number of Clinton primary voters who did NOT vote for Obama in 2020. Can you please point me to something that actually gives that percentage?

In any event, you still seem to miss the point. "Bernie Bros" are a radical subset of Bernie's supporters; they certainly do NOT represent the majority.

The majority of Sanders supporters are good Democrats and/or thinking people who are disillusioned with the current system but who will indeed line up behind the GE candidate - even if that candidate is NOT Bernie. I truly wish that they would support Warren now instead. She is the REAL DEAL; not a pseudo-deal. You seem to have recognized that in your own choice - at least for the moment and kudos to you for that.

"Bernie Bros" will NOT line up behind ANY Dem candidate who is NOT Bernie. Period.

I would bet that nearly ALL of the 12 percent of Bernie primary voters who went for Trump in 2016 were the radical subset known as "Bernie Bros." But I would also bet that "Bernie Bros" who did not vote for Trump voted for Jill Stein instead.

I defy anyone to present facts that will demonstrate otherwise.

I haven’t seen anything recent, but previous polling showed the overwhelming majority of her supporters had Sanders as their second choice. If she drops out now, Super Tuesday would be a bloodbath.

Also... there’s no way to convince Bloomberg to clear the lane for Biden, and Warren looks like she’s doing the best job of skewering him.

This is just another cry of desperation in that 'oh no, we'll lose for sure' (if we seemingly continue down this path of chaos)!

Time to put Country first before personal ambitions? Fair decision? I strongly think that the fair decision is what we all decide at the Democratic National Convention, where the candidate with the most number of delegates wins. As usual. As it should be. If you are wanting everybody to roll over and play dead, NO. I want this political process to go through as it should. Besides, my preferred candidate has more delegates than Biden does, at this point. Why should he drop out?

By no means am I suggesting all of Warren's women supporters will gravitate toward Sanders, but it's likely that many would.

And, as hard as it is for DUers to accept, many supporters of other candidates would also move over to Sanders if 2nd choice polling is any indication. I wouldn't dispute the notion that a majority of supporters of non-Sanders candidates wouldn't choose Sanders if their preferred candidate were to exit the race, but I think the number who would is far greater than some believe. I think the idea that Sanders is capped at 25-30%, regardless of how many are in the race, is false.

I really want Amy and Pete to drop out. Liz, not so much. Like to see it narrow down to Joe, Liz and Bernie. Liz is sort of I'm the middle. Amy and Pete are sucking votes from Joe. They don't have a chance and I wish they would realize it before super tuesday. Maybe as VP...
