Getting tired of Chris Hayes. His All In account just tweeted a nasty hit piece on Biden

Last edited Fri Apr 5, 2019, 10:05 PM - Edit history (3)

and Chris's bias against Biden seemed pretty obvious in tonight's show.

Editing to add that the tweet above, for which Chris is rightly being criticized, was the second tweet from the All In account this evening that went after Biden. This was the first:

The All In account later tweeted a link to the debate on the show tonight, in which Barbara Boxer defended Biden.

But I don't think a video clip offering both sides of a debate offsets linking to two articles critical of Biden.

I went back through several days of All In tweets, and there was NOTHING from Biden's defenders.

____

Editing again to add that someone is apparently blocking responses to the tweet I linked to at the start of this OP.

The stats showing up for it -- 25 replies, 8 retweets, 19 likes -- haven't changed in quite a while, though they're changing, increasing, where listed under other tweets from All In.

Correction -- the number of retweets listed just went up to 9 from 8.

But the number of replies isn't increasing, and that seems impossible, given the backlash they were getting.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Barbara Boxer did him some good. I don’t get the “He needs to say he’s sorry” thing. As soon as he did people would say “See? He knows what he does is wrong” and every time he did it-and he will-cameras will flash and whomever he’s hugging or placing a comforting hand on will be plagued to say whether or not he asked permission.

"Take responsibility and apologize" became a media mantra. And the nominee's apology was never good enough. They were troubled by the fact that she was "flawed" because for some reason, for her and her alone, the standard to be met was "perfection".

Hayes led that charge in 2016. He's more responsible for Trump and his judicial legacy than any individual Trump or Stein voter.

I needed to hear that the US, despite all its malcontentedness, can take on the future. I didn't expect it to come from Joe Biden as he spoke before the electrical workers union.

I switched my endorsement from O'Rourke, as I want to give Biden a fair shake to get in the race. I want to hear more from him. I reserve the right to jump back to Warren or O'Rourke... And will view campaign speeches from all the others.

Chris Hayes' coverage of the speech was so narrowed, and yeah, a 'hit piece'. I needed to be reminded of corporate influence over media coverage of candidates, and that I need to experience what each has to offer. If I only relied on msm today, I might not have heard such strong support of union workers, job creation, education, and egalitarian values. He got my attention today.

I don't think tyranny from the left is the best response to the right-wing tyranny we now face. I've been a fan of Bernie's for years, but I don't think his policies are realistic without wielding more unitary executive power, as we have over the Bush years and now the daily horror that is Trump.

I am tired of the largess of double standards given to the wealthy and quarterly growth obsessed wall street set, but I see a need for a person who can communicate to 'conservatives' in my state of Texas without compromising progressive values. Biden has that, Warren, and Beto, too...Buttigieg has my attention as well. I like Bernie in the Senate. Honestly, I think Beto would be a great vice president. I'm glad they're all in the race, getting out progressive messages. We'll see how the debates go...

I could care less about Biden's hugs, I don't feel they are sexual. I voted for him in a primary because he was a staunch union supporter but today he seems too far to the right for me. I'm still deciding, I haven't ruled him out.

In all honesty Andrew Yang would probably straighten out our country more than any of our candidates. The country isn't ready for Yang yet I'm afraid.

decide he was too biased? The tweet that says

“I appreciate his attempt to do better in the future, but to me this is not mainly about whether Joe Biden has adequate respect for personal space. It’s about women deserving equal respect in the workplace."

Or is the the article you highlighted titled "Joe Biden Isn’t the Answer"? I don't see anything wrong about either. The tweet reads as a well thought out opinion on the current situation. I read the article and it is actually pretty damn good. That is Joe Biden. That's his history and those aren't lies. Joe has always been in the sweet spot of the middle.
Maybe I have a different view of a "hit piece".

https://www.thecut.com/2019/03/joe-biden-isnt-the-answer-for-president-in-2020.html

It was a period of intense partisan realignment, in response to the upheavals of the 1960s and early ’70s, in which the American left was nervously coalescing around the interests and increased liberties of racial minorities and women, the populations who were forming what would be the most reliable part of its base.

The right, meanwhile, was sucking strength from a backlash against disruptive social movements, growing fat and drunk on the language of piety and family values that would undergird its ultraconservative defense of the old power structures, self-righteously fueling up for the Reagan era. Republicans had, for the foreseeable future, won white men — America’s original citizens, the ones around whom our narratives and priorities are calibrated.

Rather than lean into an energetic defense of the values of liberty, equality, and inclusion that might define their role against the racist and anti-feminist backlash of the era, the Democratic Party appeared anxious to distance itself from being the feminized “mommy party,” and shunt to the side — rather than vigorously advocate for — the priorities of women, especially poor women, and people of color.

The party continued to be represented and led by mostly white men. And while officially Democrats remained on the progressive side, supporting reproductive rights, civil rights, and affirmative action, a contingent of Those Guys, Joe Biden notable among them, made folksy rationalizations for abrogating, rather than expanding and more fiercely protecting, new rights and protections. Those Guys soothed; Those Guys were familiar; Those Guys enjoyed their own power and wanted to reassure everyone that it wasn’t really going to be so dramatically reapportioned.

Nobody can characterize another person's pain. I would not dare to minimize your pain, for example, by comparing it to mine. "Oh, your pain is only slight, not like the pain that I'M feeling!" The idea is ridiculous on the face of it.

and took it on yourself to compare that kind of pain to his "blinding" pain. You said Joe knows pain. That sounds to me like you are very confident in Joe's ability to assess all pain, even other people's pain. I'm not misconstruing his words. I said they needed more defining and you provided some. Why the hostility and insults?
