Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumBiden will live and die with the South.
Maybe Im Being Captain 👩?✈️ Obvious, but its pretty clear that Biden must be the Souths favored candidate to have any chance at the nomination.
Super Tuesday features 5 southeastern and 2 southwestern states. I think he has to win at least four of them to become Sanders primary opponent. He needs strong second place above 15% finishes in the others.
So carefully watch: Virg, NC, TN, ALA, ARK, OK, TX.

(45,442 posts)I'm concerned Liz won't get Massachusetts. One would think she'd win on a favorite daughter vote in her home state. Amy might not even get Minnesota. There's a chance Bernie will take both those states.
As for the South, Bernie is polling well in Texas, Virginia, and North Carolina.

(2,657 posts)We had 28 Democratic candidates. Not a single one of them spoke with a Southern accent. Not a single one of them had held a position in the South (unless you are counting Beto in Texas...but a lot of the South doesn't really consider Texas as the South).
