Hanging around until the convention and damaging the nominee. Time to put your country over your ego, Bernie.

I know, his supporters here were telling us this about the first three primaries and caucuses... but we should not return the favor just yet.

(12,003 posts)My state doesn't vote until late April and I'd like to have a say. But after all the states have voted, I hope if he is not ahead he will stick with what he said at the debate about how whoever goes into the convention with the most delegates should get the nomination.

(22,980 posts)...but as the saying goes it is now his race to lose. The Biden campaign has had maybe twp really good weeks, fortunately for him those were the last two weeks. And no I am not talking about how high he finished in earlier contests, I am talking about how well he campaigned in former months. Even many insiders sympathetic to Biden thought his earlier debate performances were shaky, and that his campaign events were frequently underwhelming. His campaign wasn't underfunded because there weren't potential donors available to write him checks. It was underfunded because those donors weren't confident Biden still had what it takes to win.
Biden picked a great time to hit his stride, now he needs to maintain it without stumbling. My guess is that he will, but until he can demonstrate that, this race isn't over, nor should it be.

(12,374 posts)He is setting his "progressive revolution" back 20 years. Most of us agree with many of his ideas, we just don't like the messenger and also know the country as a whole is not ready. Baby steps, not a revolution is how things progress here. You can't force it or BULLY it. I have felt bullied by him and especially his followers where I work. I don't respond well to that.
I have no doubt he will once again try to hijack the convention, I hope we are ready to defend our party when that time comes.

(3,623 posts)Maybe Obama can sit down with Bernie and talk him into stepping down. It's time to focus on beating Trump. Bernie's youth voters let him down by not showing up.

(13,473 posts)We will keep getting this crap if we continue to allow it. I do not want another Bernie-like candidate allowed to run as a fake Democrate going forward. It is dangerous, divisive and completely unnecessary.
