To Democratic Party voters who "will never vote" for so-and-so:

You're not voting for President.

You're voting for who replaces RBG. You're voting for the next Secretary of Education. You're voting for federal judges. You're voting for the rule of law. You're voting for saving national parks. You're voting for letting kids out of cages. You're voting for clean air and clean water. You're voting for scientists to be allowed to speak about climate change. You're voting for what the President says on Twitter. You're voting for housing rights. You're voting for LGBTQ people to be treated with dignity. You're voting for non-Christians to be able to adopt and to feel like full citizens. You're voting for Dreamers. You're voting so that there will be Social Security and Medicare when you retire. You're voting for veterans to get the care they deserve. You're voting for rural hospitals. You're voting so that someone else can have health insurance. You're voting for PBS. You're voting to have a President who doesn't embarrass this country every time she or he attends an international meeting. And you're voting against allowing the USA to become yet another authoritarian regime.

No Democrat is perfect. Your first AND second choices may have dropped out. Your third might. But here's the thing--and I need you to understand it--the nominee, no matter who she or he is, will not be perfect. They won't pass your purity test. And yet every single one of them will be better than four more years of Trump.

We’re a big-tent party. People need time to heal after contentious primaries. I was for Warren for most of the primary, and still believe in her.

I also find a lot to be excited about with a Biden administration. He can restore the American idea and I have every confidence he will surround himself with a skilled and effective cabinet.

In the run up to the 2016 election, I kept saying, “It’s about the Supreme Court, people!”

That ALONE should have been reason enough to vote for HRC.

10. In 2002 I vowed never to vote for Joe Biden in a Democratic primary
Wed Mar 4, 2020, 02:35 PM
Mar 2020

That vow included John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, and anyone else who voted for the Iraq War Resolution that gave GW Bush the authority to invade Iraq.

I will break my vow this March 17 when I vote for the next President of the United States, Joe Biden.

My DU status was UNDECIDED until Pete and Amy dropped out in support of Joe.

I voted for Bernie in 2016, though I also liked Martin O'Malley.

Sometimes people get wrapped up in their own wants & desires, and don't consider the long term goal. It's called critical thinking, with long term planning, which many seem to be lacking of those skills..

If you do not vote because your candidate is not on the ticket (especially after seeing what has transpired the last 4 years), then do not even bother calling yourself a Democrat. You belong on the dark side along with the rest of humanity's filth. You are no better than a Trumper. A non-vote is a vote for Trump.

That means giving 2 votes to a Trump voter. This is how Trump made it into the White House in 2016.
