Sanders attacks Biden's record on gay rights and women's issues

The first thing Bernie Sanders wants you to know about Joe Biden is that "he is my friend." And “a decent man.”

But Sanders wants you to know some other things about Biden, too — that he once supported cuts to social security (Biden supported raising the age from 65 to 67), cast a vote to prohibit federal funding of abortions (Biden cast A vote on A bill that restricted funding in some cases), and used to favor a ban on openly gay people serving in the military
(at the time when gays were prohibited from serving, Biden supported gays serving under 'don't ask-don't tell').

At the same time, Sanders is increasingly assuring crowds — at the beginning, middle and end of speeches — that “I will support Joe Biden” if he becomes the Democratic presidential nominee.

The new line of attack comes at a crucial moment for the Sanders campaign, which is struggling to gain momentum ahead of Tuesday’s votes in six states.

He is just providing reinforcement to the people who are swinging their support to Joe.

Americans are ready for a nice man they can respect in the White House.

3 weeks ago when Joe was thought dead in the water I do not remember him displaying any vitriol at all. Just kept being Joe.

Bernie was still against gay marriage as late as 2009, saying it’s a state issue and the feds should not be involved.
