Pete Buttigieg remarks in French to French reporters about Notre Dame:

We share your pain and Notre Dame was a gift to the human space (not verbatim) and not only do we share your pain but we give thanks for this gift to civilization.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

is a presidential candidate speaking another language a bad thing. I still remember what they did to Kerry who was fluent in french.

I have great admiration of those who are multilingual; languages are not my gift. Sometimes even English is a challenge.

I don't know the name of the author, but his books were only available in the original language of Norwegian. So Mayor Pete learned a new language. Impressive!
