Fox News, Ann Coulter, and Karl Rove.. oh my.

So, all of a sudden, Fox has gone all in on BS. Coulter is okay with BS, and ole Rove is shilling for him as well.

I guess medicare for all is now on the tRumpublicon platform? Democratic Socialism is just fiiiiine. They can all get behind BS!!!

You want to know why they are all in for BS?

https://www.openprimaries.org/primaries_by_state
See all those orange states? Those are the states that have open primary elections. Most of which none of the voters even have to do party registration.

Cheetolini isn't going to have any serious primary challenge. This frees them up to select the candidate that they think they can do their best with and load the deck.

So you can either believe that Fox News really did have interest in giving Bernie a great platform, and a "fair and balanced" coverage from it, and that Ann Coulter "really" believes that Bernie wouldn't be that bad, and Karl Rove really thinks that Bernie is going to be the hard one to beat because he has such great position.. OR

They are giving their nod to their voters that can vote in Democratic Party Primaries on just which candidate they should be going and vote for on those primary dates.

2. 100% with you there!

One really has to wonder about root causes for this new mutually beneficial relationship they have with one of our candidates.

Perhaps, for the first time ever, they're really going for "fair and balanced"?

3. I can't figure out their angle.

In a reasonable world, they would seem to be hedging their bets, thinking Trump is going down, but I wouldn't have previously thought they were aware enough of reality to be able to accomplish that. Plus, I'm not convinced that Trump is going down before election day 2020.

So, that leaves your assertion that it would seem that they're trying pretty hard to get Sanders as the general election opponent. I kind of agree with that, but at the same time, I can't take anything they say or do at face value. Who knows?

I realize that that's how they roll, but they could be a little less overt about it.

7. Oh, for pity's sake!

Karl Rove??? Ann Coulter???? They obviously have decided that Bernie Sanders is the easy mark to knock off in 2020. "He's not all bad/ he's the one to beat because he has great positions?"

Sure, they're all jumping on the socialist train.

Hello?

If we can't decipher this message, we ought to be shot.

16. Of course they think he's the easiest person for them to beat.

The thing is I don't take the opinions of Republicans at face value, and I certainly don't assume that a candidate is going to lose just because the opposition think so.

Even on our side, which candidate would you have chosen in '16 to face up against? I'd have picked Trump as the opponent every damn time because it seemed impossible that the American people could have elected him. And now here we are.

This kind of primary subversion isn't anything new in politics, and it frequently backfires. Because while the GOP scum are putting across this positive image of Bernie for their viewers, they're also planting seeds that can turn into votes for him later, even when they themselves inevitably turn 180 and go on the attack.

19. i was praying for Trump to win the Rep Primary in 2016 as I was sure he could not win the general

Obviously, I underestimated the innate connection he had with most in the rust belt states - he certainly spoke their language, they bit (en masse) and the rest is history...
