Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI am a big Bernie supporter, but I am not tied to him.
I decided to come out tonight, though there is no distance between Warren and him. I like her just fine. She actually knows how to fix things, just like Bernie, but she isnt hated.
I thought that the 2008 election would reduce to McCain on the Republican side. He was far behind and I was right. That was a year before.
I just have a feeling about her, and am a big fan.
She is right about most things. I know her history. She is my girl from now on.

(15,368 posts)among my top three! Kamala Harris and Amy Klobuchar are also there.
There are some good male candidates among my top six. Bernie is nowhere near any of them them in any way, IMO.
As for Biden, who is not among my top six, the old adage about actually using the pot or getting off it comes to mind. Why so much indecision?

(58,785 posts)I especially like that she's very much a can-do person and a member of our senate Democratic leadership, which means she's part of the power center.
While Republicans control the senate, she's allied with powerful Democratic leaders in the house to introduce some important legislation there, which hopefully will be advanced through the senate into law in 2021.
Including the Accountable Capitalism Act, the American Housing and Economic Mobility Act, and the Anti-Corruption and Public Integrity Act, all intended to be part of big, broad change, not patches and tweaks.
That last one is a senate version of the house's H.R. 1, the For the People Act; she's working with Rep. Sarbones, the top guy handling H.R. 1, so it's very real and we just need that majority in the senate. And that first one would empower employees to elect 40% of the the boards of directors of the corporations they work for. (!)

(9,089 posts)I'm expecting a reason to alert will get conjured up for this because I will remain a Bernie supporter and must be purged. Until someone gives me a logical reason for all this Bernie hatred it will be the same as any other hatred to me.

(6,133 posts)I see little difference between the two. The both are great policy wonks. Thats the type I always voted for.
If either one wins, I will be happier than you can imagine. But I believe that neither one will win. That has been the way in my lifetime. I only have hope.
You need to go back to JFK and FDR for me, especially FDR.
