Joe Biden to kick off 2020 presidential campaign in Lawrenceville

Democrat Joe Biden will kick off his campaign for president in the Pittsburgh area Monday.

The former vice president announced his candidacy Thursday morning, after months of hints and “will he or won’t he” speculation.

His first campaign event will be at the Teamsters Local 249 banquet hall in Lawrenceville, where he will talk about his “plan to build a middle class where everyone comes along,” according to the candidate’s website.

Doors open 2 p.m. Monday, and attendees are encouraged to come early, since space is limited.

1. the power of Biden lies with the his ability to bring back white working class voters to democratic

party. The same voters that would see giveaways of student debt and repatriations as nothing more than a free lunch while they are the ones working and paying for them. Biden can address the student loan issue with the programs started under Obama's Education Dept and expanding on those. As for repatriation nonsense, Biden can build on Obama's admin's equal right and anti-discrimination polices that all been sidelined by trump/gop.

The only mystery we have is who will be Biden's VP, I see Kamala Harris as being among his top choices.

Biden will have non-stop attacks from the media and the other democrats running. The thing is, he can basically ignore the attacks and maintain discussion on policies all based on the Obama admin. He doesn't have to work up any sweat about it.
