BUSINESS OWNERS FOR BERNIE. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential bid was endorsed Tuesday by 49 owners of 41 small businesses in New Hampshire, who called him a leader in supporting middle class Americans, Medicare for All and job creation while “combating” climate change. They also said he has strong proposals to help rural America.

Citing figures reported by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Sanders campaign said that in 2018, small businesses in New Hampshire employed more than 290,000 people. It said Sanders addresses the needs of small businesses in his “plan to rein in Wall Street” and he has supported other measures in the Senate to address small business needs and what the campaign called “the predatory lending practices of America’s big banks.”

The campaign said all of the business owners are making their endorsements public for the first time.
