"What I Saw Wasn't War -- It Was Annihilation," Says U.S. Doctor Who Volunteered in Gaza Hospital

We speak with an American doctor just back from Gaza about the "unimaginable scale" of its humanitarian crisis. Irfan Galaria, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, recently wrote an op-ed for the _L.A. Times_ describing Israel's assault on Gaza's civilians as "annihilation." Dr. Galaria, who has worked in conflict zones around the world, says he and his team witnessed "a collateral humanitarian crisis of an unimaginable scale," involving the "deliberate attempt" to both target civilians with military assault and to deprive them of aid. "I thought I was going to be prepared, but I was not prepared for what I saw," he says.

that showed the woman about to give birth in a Ukrainian hospital when the Russians bombed it.

They carried her out on a stretcher and she passed later after losing her baby.

So much death trying to extinguish life.

So let the war continue, I guess. If "guarantees" are what they want, I guess this will play out until the bitter end, won't it? Again, their choice.

8. Okay, I'm curious. Hypothetical here: what in your view should Israel do if Hamas came out and said that there were not

enough supplies getting in to keep the hostages alive over there own people and there are no more alive.

What, IN YOUR VIEW, should Israel then do?

9. Easy. I would realize that Hamas had made their decision to kill the hostages and I'd act accordingly.

That was fun. What other hypothetical games would you like to play?

10. Sure, that was the easy answer. A tiny bit harder Q is, what would be acting "accordingly"? Please supply the details

of what would define 'acting accordingly'.

11. Why are you asking ME? I don't need to tell you. You know perfectly well what the answer is.

So... sorry. I'm not going to get sucked-into this game of ever-changing hypotheticals. Nice try, though. LOL!

4. "Annihilation" the Dr. said. Perhaps he should have said genocide, except that the word genocide has politial overtones.
