and Wall Street will double dip from that stimulus, as usual

Investment banks and other firms on Wall Street will get whatever direct support they can wrangle out of a split Congress, of course.

Then they'll get the lion's share of direct-to-citizens stimulus payments that reach households that aren't struggling, since there's such limited outlets for investment or consumer spending.

I'm seriously concerned about stock prices inflating into a bubble, an easily popped bubble, if the country keeps on borrowing money to stuff into stocks and other speculative securities.

We're about to have a national debt larger than GDP, a situation we haven't seen since the end of World War II. If the Republicans start to play debt ceiling games again like they did under Obama, stock prices could take a serious plunge.

253 Supreme T-shirts expected to sell for $2M

Bogart's collection, which is considered the first complete archive of Supreme tees to ever exist, contains many items that are impossible to find, even in the secondary market, said Christie's in a press release.

Said Bogart on a website created for the collection:
"From that point on, my interest grew into an obsession, and (I) started adding to my collection as often as I could, always looking for the best condition examples I could find... A lot of people don't think about the non-stop weeks, months, and even years of research and work that it can take to find just one tee."

The T-shirts in Bogart's collection feature color and design variations of what is arguably the brand's most valuable asset: its simple logo, a red rectangle marked with the word "Supreme" that fashion platform Lyst crowned the industry's most powerful logo in 2018. The collection includes early editions, such as four T-shirts that feature a smaller Box Logo design -- released in 1995."

As far as market investments are concerned, I'm bullish on guillotines

We all need a lot smile sometimes...

It gives me a little smile knowing Trump will spend the rest of his life fighting assets forfeiture suits from DeutscheBank.

Politically, we're at the part where we've climbed into the escape pod with Jonesy

It feels like we've won the fight, but we still gotta kick the monster out through the hatch.

"My Pal Donny"

Pitch for a "zany buddies" comedy series

Loveable, gaffe-prone, avuncular executive Joe gets a big promotion after a long career. When he finally gets the top job at the company, he and the missus, Jill, are looking forward to the perks of the job, including a luxury live-in mansion that comes with the job. Only problem is, the guy he's replacing, kooky clumsy Donny, has refused to move out and believes his still in charge of the company! Hijinx ensue!

Episode One: A quarrel breaks out in the bathroom when it turns out Jill likes to squeeze the toothpaste from the bottom, Joe likes to squeeze the toothpaste from the middle, and Donny likes to use peanut butter instead.

Biden Team's briefing on the Vote counting in the close states (on Facebook)

Just watched this. Of the states where there is still counting going on, they only think we'll lose North Carolina. They expect wins in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and possibly even Georgia.

video will be on a Facebook page

I'm starting to wonder if staring at the screen just isn't gonna work

I knew we wouldn't have a resolution tonight.

I'm ready to go from opposition to dissident.

Can we take a moment to thank the cleaning crews of America?

My school building is closed for today. We've had a 3rd staff member report being out with the Covid. All buildings in the district are gonna be closed to everyone as of 4pm today--everyone except for the cleaning staff.

They've gone through a LOT of training over the past few months. They go about their work in their full hygienic regalia of masks, gloves, face shields, cleaning every surface, helpfully reminding students to pull their masks up, greeting the rest of staff, making our work environment as safe as can be. They'll never see the lives they've saved, never count the students and staffers and extended families who didn't get sick because of their diligence and commitment.

There are people in businesses and retirement homes and residential complexes all over the country who work without the praise or remuneration that others receive, but they are front line warriors against the Covid invasion and they're taking the fight to the enemy, and doing so with a smile. I'm so grateful to them and I hope they're not forgotten when we've finally weathered this terrible moment.
