Bucky's JournalSerious question. Are there any adults in the White House?
https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/trump-says-he-asked-administration-to-slow-the-testing-downon-coronavirusCause I'm assuming this bullshit is just Trump spouting off random irresponsibility from his fried chicken hole. There's got to be someone in the White House actually saying, No we have to keep up increasing the test because people are dying. Right? Right?
Trump Says He Asked Administration To Slow The Testing Down On Coronavirus
TULSA, Okla. (AP) President Donald Trump said Saturday hes asked his administration to slow down coronavirus testing because robust testing turns up too many cases of COVID-19.
Trump told supporters at his campaign rally that the U.S. has tested 25 million people, far more than any other country. The bad part, Trump said, is that widespread testing leads to logging more cases of the virus.
I'm sure the main cause of this is Hillary's emails
But just in case, also, thanks Obama too!!
Poll: Americans are the unhappiest theyve been in 50 years
Its been a rough year for the American psyche. Folks in the U.S. are more unhappy today than theyve been in nearly 50 years.
This bold yet unsurprising conclusion comes from the COVID Response Tracking Study, conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago. It finds that just 14% of American adults say theyre very happy, down from 31% who said the same in 2018. That year, 23% said theyd often or sometimes felt isolated in recent weeks. Now, 50% say that.
The survey, conducted in late May, draws on nearly a half-century of research from the General Social Survey, which has collected data on American attitudes and behaviors at least every other year since 1972. No less than 29% of Americans have ever called themselves very happy in that survey.
While you were out in the streets protesting racism, the anti-vaxxers have been busy
I spent my morning on Facebook arguing with the willfully ignorant about their delusions concerning
* Event 201,
* contact tracing, and
* Bill Gates's involvement in HR 6666
Personally, I love a good conspiracy theory. If you enjoy a good chuckle, you understand what parody is, and you're on Facebook, I encourage you to check out "Flat Earth Defenders Living on the Edge"
But the anti-science knuckleheads are seriously out in force now. Here are a few links I've used to discredit one of my artist friends who has fallen under the sway of the pro-death anti-vaxxer movement

And against their lie that Bill Gates negotiated a contact tracing contract with Congress six months ago, I pointed out that the bill wasn't even introduced until May 1st of 2020, 6 weeks ago

Their idiocy never sleeps. So neither can we.
We are living in Ayn Rand's Utopia
We have an executive branch run entirely by self-aggrandizing, career groping, egomaniacs dedicated to advancing their own interests above everybody else's.
This is why they loot the public treasury at every turn. This is why they sell out to large corporate interests in hopes of getting a plum consulting or board of directors gig when they leave government service. This is why the White House leaks like a sieve whenever these weasels think they can get a leg up on their colleagues.
Government by self service. It's bursocracy, government by filling the purse. Kakistocracy, government by the worst.
Bunker Boy is calling up the military.
Lord help us, I honestly thought this would wait till November.
Maybe it still will.
Can someone with legal training help me understand this 1st degree theory?
In looking at the paramedic video footage, when the sheriff dept medics show up to remove George Floyd's body from the scene of the crime, before the fire dept's paramedics show up, I'm seeing this as corroborating evidence for a murder one conviction, based on the assailant (Chauvin) and his collaborators "state of mind" at the time of Floyd's death.
Is this sound legal reasoning or am I blowing smoke?
I'm thinking that video footage demonstrates that (1) Chauvin knew already that he had killed George Floyd already, (2) that he called in a friendlier ambulance crew of sheriff deputies who also knew that George Floyd was dead and (3) that they took specific steps to camouflage this from witnesses on scene by (4) putting on the charade of a cursory "check" for pulse (under 2 seconds) all while (5) Chauvin kept on kneeling on his corpse's neck as if he was still restraining him, and (6) later had issued a bogus "died at the hospital" public statement.
Does this elevate the department itself from "a bad trainer and supervisor of cops" to criminal co-conspirators involved in the coverup of a murder?
And does the premeditation of the ambulance ruse demonstrate premeditation of the crime itself?
I've been assuming that the unauthorized restraint of pressing Chauvin's 200 lb. body onto Floyd's neck while he pleaded for his life for 8 minutes alone demonstrates premeditation.
Bunker Boy thinks your governor is a chickenshit cause he's not ordering police to open fire
Fortunately it's hard for anyone to hear him from down in that bunker
I've informed to several people they were wrong on the internet today...
... and it doesn't seem to be doing any good. I need either a bigger bucket or smaller ocean
Another week of slow improvement in numbers
Despite a slow increase in rates of testing, the number of new coronavirus confirmed cases dropped for the fourth week in a row, if you count deaths and new confirmed cases by the week.
Week of April 26th - 8% drop
Week of May 3rd - 7% drop
Week of May 10th - 14% drop
Week of May 17th - 1% drop
This might be a temporary lull. But fortunately the expected surge as the pandemic shifts to smaller states where hygiene protocols are not being followed as rigorously, has not yet occurred.
Death rates from the coronavirus are also dropping off.
Week of April 26th - 12% drop
Week of May 3rd --- 5% drop
Week of May 10th - 20% drop
Week of May 17th - 15% drop
Since the beginning of April, every week has seen at least 10,000 people died in the United States from the Coronavirus. The week of May 17th what's the first time that number fell below 10,000--down to 8570. That's too many, and we will certainly go over the 100,000 mark this coming week, probably on Monday. But going by the Numbers, this wave of the virus seems to be running out of steam... slowly.
Some places, like here in Texas, we're expected to see continued rise in infections and losses. We have a big problem with "summer soldiers" literally taking the summer off from quarantine and safety precautions. So everyone still needs to be diligent and disciplined.
And don't forget to remind your family that it's very likely to get bad again starting in September or October.
