Make America Grim Again. . . . Please come CAPTION PresiDented Trump!!!

Donald Trump is saying: “‘NAFTA,’ ‘NAFTA,’ ‘NAFTA,’ that’s all I hear is ‘NAFTA’! . . . NAFTA has harmed hundreds f millions of hard-working Americans and manufactures. . . . So we’re going to call it something else from now on. . . . It’s not ‘NAFTA’ anymore. . . . It's now the North American Trade Agreement, or NATA. . .. And most importantly, ‘NATA’ fits better on a baseball cap. . . . Who says I've not done anything of lasting consequence?”

"With all due respect . . ." . . . Please come CAPTION PresiDented Trump!!!

Donald ("All eyes on he?" ) Trump is thinking: "Sure he deserves a bit of honor, but Jesus, day after freaking day, wall-to-wall McCain. . . . I don't want to take anything away for him but maybe I could round up some bad hombres in a massive raid. . . . No, then it will be all about Sessions. . . . How 'bout a sneak attack on North Korea? . . . Naw, then all the generals and soldiers will get all the attention. . . . Damn! . . .I know! . . . I could stage a coup against myself! . . . Perfect. . . . I mean, I don't want to take anything away from McCain, but this will show them all!"

About skip fox

I am retired, now a professor emeritus at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where I taught in the English department for 37 years. I've written 4 chapbooks and 5 full-sized books (all listed as poetry though many include other genres as well), including _Sheer Indefinite: Selected Poems, 1991-2012 (Univ. of New Orleans Press, 2012). I've also written a 500+ page bibliography of three contemporary poets: Robert Creeley, Ed Dorn, and Robert Duncan. I am writing now, both fiction and poetry, more now than ever. My first vote for President of the United States was for Dick Gregory in 1968 (Bowling Green, Ohio). Favorite quote: "It's easy to be an idealist if you don't have to mind the evidence, but no one said it was supposed to be easy" (Richard LaPauvre).
