This is fantastic.
He had a special relationship with Loretta Lynn.

But I love Buddy and Julie Miller's version. Beautiful harmonies and great production.
Rock, Salt and Nails
Great Utah Philips song, covered many times.
Tyler Childers does it justice

Veranda - Toutes les rivieres
The Polack MSgt will appreciate this.
It's not Cajun, but remarkably similar.
I have Cajun and French Canadian ancestry so I can relate either way!
I love this video, reminds me of the time I spent in Alaska.

I have loved this song since Bonnie recorded it. What I really love about her recording is that she had Little Feat in the studio at the time.
This is a great blues song, the studio recording is superb.
Bonnie wanted Lowell George to produce the album (Takin' My Time); when that didn't work out, John Hall (who is actually a NY Democrat in Congress now) finished the production.
But Lowell and the band played a quite a few tracks on the album. This is my favorite. It's really a Little Feat song with Bonnie on lead vocals and acoustic guitar.
I Feel the Same - Chris Smither - Bonnie Raitt
Chris Smither is just a great folk/blues singer-songwriter. He still performs but has been around since the late 60's.
I could only find one video of Chris performing his song I Feel the Same live.

Always liked his version of Red Hot the best.
Just happened to be watching some old videos of RG and Link Wray and saw the video from CNN about his death yesterday.
Love the guy that plays bass and piano simultaneously!
RIP Robert Gordon
