A random thought brought about by Zelazansky's comments.

We live in a sad time where fascism is trying to present itself as an appropriate form of government.

A form of government which posits the idea that the wealthy is the most apropos form of social justice.

A society in which a lower class is needed.

A society which believes that those with riches have the wisdoms to rule the masses.

A society that believes that People like Putin, Trump and so many others have the wisdom to rule simply because they own a lot of shit.

The fascists are getting bolder and I don't know whether to say we're fucked or that we're waking up.

My 90 year old father has been hospitalized and I'm at a loss.

I am pretty much homebound as in more than 5 or 6 steps leave me breathless and fearing my defibrillator is going to fire off again. However no one else knows my restrictions and that's how I like it. I can't go visit him and that's killing me and I can't do pretty much anything without having the abilities I once took for granted.

I Have been this way for three-four years in an apartment with a trash deposit a block away and my home now looks like a hoarder's episode and need all this to change...

It's a fucking embarrassment that this is a concern at the time of my Father's passing.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I love you all. Unless you support Trump's anything.

Ukrainian military intelligence said it had killed a top Russian general on Monday, in what would be the second high-ranking loss since the invasion began.

Maj. Gen. Vitaly Gerasimov, the first deputy commander of Russia's 41st army, was killed in Kharkiv, the intelligence unit of the Ukrainian defense ministry said in a statement.

Christo Grozev, the executive director of the open-source investigative outlet Bellingcat, tweeted Monday that a Russian source had confirmed Gerasimov's death. There were no specifics on the death, and neither Russian officials nor state-run media have confirmed the death.

Alongside the statement, the Ukrainian defense ministry released audio of an intercepted phone call between what it said were two Russian Federal Security Service, or FSB, officers discussing the death and criticizing Russia's secure military-communication platform.

Two NASA satellite telescopes, including the Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR), witnessed a black hole's corona being "launched" away from a supermassive black hole. Then a huge burst of X-ray energy emitted. So, what precisely happened? That is what scientists are currently trying to understand.

“This is the first time we have been able to link the launching of the corona to a flare,” Dan Wilkins, of Saint Mary’s University, said. “This will help us understand how supermassive black holes power some of the brightest objects in the universe.”

Fiona Harrison, NuSTAR's primary investigator, stated that the nature of the energy source is a "mystery," but that the ability to actually capture the event should offer some indications about the black hole's size and structure, as well as (hopefully) some new insight into how black holes work. This black hole, fortunately for us, is still 324 million light-years distant.

So, whatever bizarre things it does, it shouldn't have any influence on our little part of the cosmos.

I feel guilty if I enjoy anything or get a laugh while knowing the terror Ukrainians are living with now. I feel as if I need to turn the news off but guilt stops me.

I did my best to avoid the draft during Nam but feel that if I were younger and in health I would go to Ukraine to help.
