I would ask why aren't there more studies like this, but then when you consider that this study not only revealed that around 1 in 5 men admitted to having sexual attractions towards and/or sexually abusing minors, and this same group were over eleven times more likely to watch violent porn and over sixteen times more likely to purchase sexual content online, compared to men without feelings/offenses toward children... well it seems far less puzzling.
Porn = money. It's always about the money. Apparently only a vanishing few care to deal with the sickness, and the consequences just get ignored.

The GOP just conflated antisemitism with anti-Zionism. That's problematic.
Republicans just used a disingenuous tactic to try to shut down criticism of Israel.
House Republicans put a resolution condemning antisemitism up for a vote on Tuesday. At first blush, that seemed like a laudable gesture. Antisemitism is on the rise around the world, and any spread of bigotry should and must be fought. But the resolution also contained controversial language declaring that “anti-Zionism is antisemitism.” That wording conflates criticism of Israel with bigotry against Jews, and the intention of such language is to discourage critical debate over Israel in Washington.
The measure passed 311 to 14, with scores of Democrats joining Republicans. But more Democrats saw through the GOP’s tactics than that lopsided result might suggest — 92 voted present. That was a small but promising sign that Democrats are aware that Republicans are cynically trying to weaponize the issue of antisemitism, using it as a way to shield Israel from criticism as it wages an increasingly polarizing war in the Gaza Strip.

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford has announced felony charges against six so-called "fake electors" for their alleged role in efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, his office announced Wednesday.
Among those charged are some of the top officials from the Nevada Republican Party, including Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald, Nevada Republican Party National Committeeman Jim DeGraffenreid, Clark County Republican Party Chairman Jesse Law and Storey County Clerk Jim Hindle, as well as Republican operatives Shawn Meehan and Eileen Rice.
The six defendants were indicted by a grand jury in the Eighth Judicial District Court in Nevada for falsely portraying themselves as Nevada's presidential electors after the last presidential election, the attorney general's office said.
Each of the defendants have been charged with felonies including offering a false instrument for filing, offering a forged instrument, and offering a false instrument titled "Certificate of the Votes of the 2020 Electors from Nevada" to the President of the Senate; the Archivist of the United States; the Nevada Secretary of State; and the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.

The full court press to make uttering a phrase which predates Hamas synonymous with a declaration of genocidal antisemitism will not solve anything.
Those doing the pushing should recognize that they do not get to simply demand that everyone agree. And should they refuse, choosing to smear those who disagree as ignorant at best, and a secret anti-semite if not an advocate of genocide against Jews at worst, will backfire.
And in Britain, the Labour party issued a temporary punishment to a member of Parliament, Andy McDonald, for using the phrase during a rally at which he called for a stop to bombardment.

Sexual violence during military conflict is not new
It normally barely gets mentioned, if not ignored completely. This time it has become a huge issue, and that is unquestionably a very welcome development. Suddenly this type of terrorism against women merits widespread coverage and discussion, and hope to see this same type of coverage each and every time it happens.
I also hope the same thing happens with femicide, but unfortunately I have very little hope that it will. The constant murdering of women by husbands, boyfriends, exes, and rejected suitors or stalkers is so common it's treated like background noise.
