Mad_Machine76's JournalAnd if they obstruct her
Holder stays on, who Republicans hate even more, so there is no real upside for them to obstruct Lynch. There will likely be a few Republican malcontents, of course, whom will obstruct the nominee no matter what, of course.
Personally, I'd rather
Republicans not be allowed to "fix" anything in regards to the ACA until/unless they are genuinely interested in improving it. All I'm hearing now are ideas to sabotage/defund it (and make things worse for workers).
Does the irony not register with them
That PBO is making more progress dealing with IRAN about their NUCLEAR PROGRAM than the US Republican Party over immigration and healthcare?
I have no problem with agreeing to disagree
I think that Dems are, overall, a much more palatable and realistic choice of party to support. They are not necessarily perfect and we have work to do to make them better but I'm understanding of the fact that this country moves forward politically in fits and starts in this crazy and conflicted country and the Dems partly reflect that.
She is probably the closest to a "sane" Republican
But she still comes across as selfish and/or ignorant.
Who around here is NOT outraged?
I'm pissed off too and was quite shocked that they decided to already take the case given the DC Circuit Court overturning of the 3-Judge panel's decision and plans for an En Banc hearning though there is nothing, really, that we can do about it. The Supreme Court is, well, Supreme. I'm sure that PBO is very concerned about this as well- though I doubt that you'll hear him tongue-lashing SCOTUS over it. Hopefully, his SG puts together good arguments for the hearing and he and the Dems come up with some kind of contingency plan for the subsidies if SCOTUS decides to be "textual literalists".
Well
so much for all of the handwringing and premature worrying about PBO up and caving to Republicans on Keystone XL.
I know that they're not happy about the EPA in general
But what has got them so worked up about it now?
