Maybe they got it confused

with the basement in the Alamo!

No thanks

I didn't vote for him in the primaries and was mad at how his supporters treated Hillary before, during, and after the primaries, which helped enable Trump to win in November. His appeals to try to understand Trump voters and cater to them in the wake of Trump's elections and his continued attacks on Democrats are creating unnecessary divisiveness (during a time in which we need unity more than ever) makes me opposed to another Democratic candidacy for him (or a candidacy of any sort). IMHO he is hurting more than helping the Democratic Party and the progressive cause in general.

Unfortunately, he was/is probably right about that

I guess that maybe the only thing saving him is not having a private e-mail server and not having been SOS during Benghazi? I mean, because those things are very *bad*.

Here's a (better and simpler) one-step solution:

1. Stop trying to repeal (and replace) ACA and, instead, work with Democrats to fix/improve the law.

Let the kids rot in foster care

I mean, forcing kids to grow up orphans and/or returned to perpetually abusive/neglectful parents is obviously preferable to children being raised in loving homes by single, LGBT, or non-Christian people, amirite? Yay for "Christian" Values!!!

This is a baaaad idea

I hope that no Democrats take McConnell seriously on this. Aside from all of the aforementioned obvious problems with this idea, it REALLY looks bad on McConnell who should burn in hell for how he prevented Garland from getting due consideration for the late Scalia's (now Gorsuch's) Supreme Court seat when he was nominated by President Obama at the beginning of last year, but who now is quite eagerly happy to suggest Garland for another position that will put Garland at the mercy of Trump's erratic behavior while enabling the Republicans to replace his seat with a far-right extremist. What could go wrong with this idea?

Trump really IS delusional

if he thinks that the decision of whether or not something should be investigated is ultimately his decision. Of course, I think that some of that delusion comes from having been a private citizen a mega-businessman for so long and never really having to be held accountable for anything. He got so used to lying, intimidating his enemies, and keeping things tied up in courts indefinitely until the people suing him ultimately gave that he thinks that he can continue to do the same thing as President and, while it's true that being President gives one a lot of power, it's also more restrictive by virtue that our system, although imperfect, was designed to hold Presidents accountable and to encourage transparency. It's faltering a bit under Trump but it is why Trump is in the trouble that he is in. It is now up to Republicans, whom currently control Congress, to step up to the plate and really do what they need to be doing more of under this President than with the last, which is to hold him accountable and let the chips fall where they may.

That is his right as well

But it is suspicious as hell and only makes him look (more) guilty AND nobody can get their stories straight as to why Comey was fired.

I don't think she should be "disappeared"

The Democratic Party would be left perilously adrift if we just told all of the party elders to just "get lost". Hillary won lots of vote in two Presidential elections, including 3 million more votes total than the current occupant of the WH in this last election, and she (and we) need to make sure that the needs and concerns of her voters in the last election are heard and acknowledged, especially since all the MSM wants to talk about are Trump voters and what they think and what their "concerns" are and we need the experiences of both younger and older members to help ensure the long-term viability of the party.

Hell, we were forced to be subjected to constant coverage of the LOSERS of the 2008 election for many years thereafter. McCain has had his own slot on Sunday morning "news" for forever. I don't want to hear people complain about Hillary Clinton.

I wonder

if this experience with Trump will cause more Americans to reconsider their supposed distaste for "professional politicians"? I don't know what it would have been like with Clinton as POTUS but I think that it would be difficult- if not impossible- for even the most myopic person out there to concede that we wouldn't be dealing with all of these crazy things that we've been subjected to daily from Trump and his (mis-)Administration. We could have had an Administration that was fully staffed with competent individuals running the country, promoting progressive policies, and working to solve complex problems with reasonable solutions but, no, we had to give the job of POTUS to a "successful businessman" who wasn't really all that successful nor smart but just was good at being able to avoid accountability for everything he did to take advantage.
