For someone who is constantly dishing out insults, Donald Trump is notoriously thin-skinned. During the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Trump was savagely mocked by Barack Obama and Seth Meyers. Many pundits attributed this attack to Trump running for President in 2016.

The former President did not participate in the event while he was in the White House. After a number of years and a global pandemic, Joe Biden attended last night’s dinner. And there were plenty of shots taken at Donald Trump. This led to complaints by the Republican National Committee.

The organization took particular umbrage at Biden joking, “This is the first time the president attended this dinner in six years. It’s understandable, we had a horrible plague followed by two years of Covid.”

The RNC responded, “Joe Biden just called President Trump ‘a horrible plague.’ Reminder: Biden ran on uniting the country.”
