So I just read the email re: the kick-off on the 29th. I contacted the campaign with

a few questions. I would like to host a local event, but had some unanswered questions. I talked to a lady named Samantha. They are still working on the delivery method (all the digital stuff), but it will be broadcast on the internet. So a person would need internet connection, and a monitor large enough for everyone to see. I'm not an AV guy, to I would need help. I was thinking of renting the meeting room at a local hotel. Holds 30. She suggested I go ahead and set it up, and ask for the help I need, but I am leery. What if I don't get it? I don't want to host a bum event. Also, I forgot to ask about campaign materials. Sigh. What to do..

Donald Trump tweets image of Nazi soldiers inside the U.S. flag, then deletes tweet

On Tuesday, Donald Trump (or, should we say, Donald Trump's Twitter account), tweeted one more plug for the GOP presidential candidate's campaign.

#MakeAmericaGreatAgain, the hashtag read. Then came an image of the American flag, the stars resplendently overlaid over a portrait of Trump gazing sternly at something, the stripes over motifs of American triumphalism: cash money, the White House, and soldiers.

An all-caps caption declared: "We need real leadership. We need results. Let's put the U.S. back into business!"

Except, there was a problem. As Twitter users quickly pointed out, the soldiers in the bottom-right of the image were not American. They weren't even from an Allied military. They were German World War II soldiers.

Alan Grayson To Enter Race For Marco Rubio's Senate Seat

Source: AP/Huffington Post

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, an unapologetically outspoken critic of Republicans who calls himself a congressman with guts, will enter the race to replace Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, a close friend and major Democratic Party donor said Wednesday.

Trial lawyer John Morgan said he exchanged a series of emails with Grayson in which the congressman confirmed he is going to seek the seat Rubio is giving up to run for president and asked for Morgan's help with the campaign. The announcement will be made Thursday morning.

"He's going to do it," Morgan said.

His entry into the race will set up a primary pitting a darling of the far left wing of the Democratic Party against lesser-known U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, a former Republican who is running as a moderate.

Maybe they killed the Iowa straw poll because there weren't enough straws for

each republican candidate to be guaranteed at least one?

Happy, happy, happy. Glad Bernie's in. Glad Bernie's a Democrat. Glad

we have a group! Bernie or bust! I can't wait to donate the maximum I can to his campaign! Just waiting on the official announcement.

Indiana's law is NOT the same as the 20-year old federal law.

The Indiana law specifically grants corporations, non-profits, businesses, churches, and corporate type entities special considerations along the lines of them being able to claim additional land for the first time ever. Land they never had before in history.

Obama orders cuts to government’s greenhouse gas emissions

In his ongoing effort to combat climate change both at home and abroad, President Barack Obama signed an executive order on Thursday to reduce the federal government’s greenhouse gas emissions by 40%.

Although the government contributes only a small percentage of total emissions, the cuts are expected to keep 26 million metric tons of greenhouse gases out of the air by 2025 – equal to taking about 5.5 million cars off the road for a year. The order also directs the government, which is the single largest U.S. consumer of energy, to increase its use of renewable energy to 30% of its consumption, giving a further boost to green industries.

The executive order comes just days after an international team of scientists reported that the Totten Glacier of East Antarctica – the largest and most rapidly thinning glacier in the region – is shrinking because of warm ocean water developing beneath it. The process could have “global consequences,” including rising sea level by at least 11 feet, the researchers wrote Monday in Nature Geoscience.

On Thursday morning, Obama toured an installation of solar panels at the Energy Department’s headquarters and discussed the new emissions targets with federal suppliers, part of a larger effort to lead by example on the climate change issue. In November, Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping reached an agreement on a climate deal to reduce carbon emissions and tackle the growing crisis of global climate change. The pact includes a first-ever commitment by the Asian country to stop its emissions from increasing entirely after 2030.

This is how scared they must be. Look at this headline, screams the new narrative:

(apologies ahead of time to the establishment types)

Democrats See No Choice but Hillary Clinton in 2016

They shrug off questions about Hillary Rodham Clinton’s email habits. They roll with the attacks on her family’s foundation, the big checks from foreign governments, the torpid response of her not-yet-campaign.

They have little choice: As Mrs. Clinton prepares to begin her second presidential campaign amid a froth of criticism and outrage, Democrats are not just Ready for Hillary — as supporters named one pro-Clinton “super PAC” — they are desperate for her.

Congressional Democrats are counting on a strong Clinton campaign to help lift them back into the majority. Party leaders at all levels want her fund-raising help and demographic appeal. And from the top of the party to its grass roots, Mrs. Clinton’s pseudo-incumbency is papering over significant disadvantages: a weak bench, a long-term House minority and a white middle class defecting to the Republican Party faster than the Democrats’ hoped-for demographic future is expected to arrive.

Mrs. Clinton, many Democrats say, is simply too big to fail.

With the 47 treasonous bastards that sent the letter to Iran in the news now,

I would expect every single race in the country to be in play for 2016. I hope we can field a candidate in every race in the country. That is all.

Democrats wise up, return to 50 State Strategy

So it's official: Democrats have learned the lesson of 2014 and 2010 and are seeking a return to the 50 State Strategy. Article is here.

The Democratic National Committee on Saturday released the interim findings of a review intended to examine problems in the midterm election. The report said Democrats lack a "cohesive narrative" and recommended that the party find ways to help it explain bedrock values such as fairness, equality and opportunity.
[...]

The report recommends a multiyear effort to prepare for the next round of congressional redistricting after the 2020 elections, wary of Republican clout in statehouses that will determine the new boundaries for members of Congress following the next census.

It calls for more financial support and training for state parties in a return to the principles behind the "50-state strategy" promoted by former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, who led the DNC from 2005 to 2009. That approach aimed to compete in state and local elections throughout the country, even in states dominated by Republicans.
