Sean Carroll would disagree.

And a multiverse proposal has absolutely nothing to do with religion, that is something hypothesized without some reasonable evidence.

In fact, multiverse(s) have been proposed by theoretical physicists for some time now; among them are: Steven Weinberg, Leonard Susskind, Sean Carroll, Lisa Randall, and others.
Making the modern multiverse: Physics Today: Vol 73, No 1

Sean Carroll is a Harvard PhD, Cal Tech Professor, author of several books and textbooks used in graduate courses across the country. Prof. Carroll, an atheist, disagrees Dr. Hossenfelder.

Please listen:

Apparently, your source doesn't know enough about her claims.

**Btw, I must also include the 2 theoretical physicists I personally know, my husband and my son.

Hubby thinks we'll be...

...in a "neighbor to neighbor"/ Kosovo fighting-style civil war within the next 2 to 3yrs.

I'm doubtful, so he said I'm in denial.

Opinion on this? Am I being a naive Pollyanna?

Thanks!

Don't think that functionally illiterate fatdon

Will ever have a library...or be on another ballot. But I love Steve Schmidt's sentiments.

Same here: I escort them outside in a jar.

My son used to be terrified of them until, between homes,* the 3 of us had to live in a camper for almost 4mos. One cannot avoid spiders in a camper, sooo he had to adapt.

*Sold home, rented a house until our builder finished our custom hm. Then suddenly the landlord decided she wouldn't month-to-month rent to us. So, we bought a small camper where we lived from 9/1 to 12/22. Fun times! But yay, our 12yo's spider phobia was banished!

😅

"...can't preform in a mask. Ask any surgeon out there!"

"...means I can't attend my kid's 3hr Christmas concert; well, that one's alright with me."

Comedy gold.

I've been disappointed in Terry's campaign.

It's been lacking. This race is too important to lose here in BLUE Virginia.

I've a friend, a professional, who wrote to Terry/his campaign 2mos ago and never got any response whatsoever, even tho he's a donor. He wrote:

Terry,

What about your message? I have seen some of them, and they are ‘lacking’. I sent you an e-mail, hoping that someone in your campaign would get the message to you.

The message is this:

And while I completely support you for governor, your ads don’t come close to “cutting through the republican fog!!” Remember, you are running against Q-ANON, voter and citizen rights suppression, etc. Start running against Trump and what the republicans stand for.

This brings me to the basic question—why don’t you take off the gloves and dig into him and Trump? For example, why are you not reminding the Virginia voters that he would turn Virginia schools and hospitals into Texas-sized messes.

So, focus your adds to take on the republican nonsense including Jan. 6, and I will not feel as if I'm throwing my contribution money away. You don’t have much time to turn this around, Terry. Get busy on your message. Take it directly to the republicans.

Sincerely,

As I said above, my friend received no response, not even a standard form letter/email from the campaign! Apparently, Terry has hired some inexperienced or lazy campaign staff.

Glad to hear Terry is reaching out to Taylor Swift fans. But it's getting late in the game; he should've been bashing Youngkin over the head regarding a LOAD of issues WEEKS ago!

Laws should require these fossil fuel polluters

To either cover these wells or pay to have them covered. Not us taxpayers. However it must be done asap; the planet will greatly benefit...

According to the EPA, there are more than 2 million unplugged inactive wells in the United States. Bordoff says that together,
they emit as much carbon pollution as 2 million passenger vehicles per year.

Bravo to Biden & his team for addressing this problem!

Climate change research takes center stage in Nobel Prize for physics - CBS News

The 2021 Nobel prize for physics has been awarded to three researchers for two discoveries that together represent “groundbreaking contributions to our understanding of complex physical systems” such as weather and, on a longer time scale, climate change.

One half of the Nobel was awarded jointly to Syukuro Manabe at Princeton University and Klaus Hasselmann, formerly at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg, Germany, for their work developing physical models of Earth’s climate that helped to reliably predict global warming and prove that human actions have an impact on the climate system.

Can we please share climate change info with friends and stop pretending increased human consumption is not the major issue?

"If climate change threatens us all, shouldn't everyone be talking

If climate change threatens us all, shouldn't everyone be talking about it? "That's the only way revolutions ever start"

According to the new book, "Saving Us: A Climate Scientist's Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World," the lack of conversation may be the biggest threat of all.

Author Katharine Hayhoe said more than half of U.S. adults are concerned about climate change, but only about a third of us ever talk about it. Hayhoe is a prominent climate scientist at Texas Tech University who studies not only the climate but the conversation around it.

"I mean, if one more person tells you about a starving polar bear, or a melting iceberg, or rising sea levels, you're just like, 'What am I supposed to do? I'm just one person. I'm not, like, the president, or CEO, or anything," said Hayhoe.

Hayhoe argues the most important thing people can do is the one thing so many have been avoiding—talking about it.
...
"Did you know that 90 companies are responsible for two-thirds of the whole global warming problem since the beginning of the industrial era?" asked Hayhoe, who joined in the conversation.

... 9,000,000 people die every year of air pollution.
