Yes, that is triumph the insult dog, but the trump supporters are real- reacting to fake pro-trump ads that are completely, obviously bonkers.
There are no words for how stupid these people are.
Trump beseeches evangelical pastors to help him win so he can get into heaven
Donald Trump called on evangelical pastors to help him win the presidency this November, which he said is maybe the only way I'm going to get to heaven.
For evangelicals, for the Christians, for the everybody, for everybody of religion, this will be, may be, the most important election that our country has ever had, Trump told a Pastors in the Pews meeting of evangelical leaders in Orlando. And once I get in, I will do my thing that I do very well. And I figure it is probably, maybe the only way I'm going to get to heaven. So I better do a good job.

Trump Rally-Goer To CNN Reporter: "I Am A Patriot And You Are A Traitor!"
Noah Gray, a CNN producer covering the Trump campaign rally Thursday in Kissimmee, FL, uploaded this video to Twitter showing a Donald Trump rally attendee shouting at journalists covering the event. "Go home!" he said. "You are traitors! I am an American Patriot!"
When asked his name, the man replied: "I am a Patriot! And your name is 'Traitor.'"

In Texas, a man who didn’t kill anybody is about to be executed for murder
Terri Beens voice shook as she read a long text message from her niece.
I had a nightmare about my dad last night, Paige Rowan told her aunt in the text.
Rowan described a dream in which she watched helplessly as the execution needle pierced her fathers skin.
She woke up screaming, panicking and feeling hopeless, she told Been.
Then, she said, she dropped to her knees and prayed.
Please dont allow this to happen, Rowan wrote. Dont take my father away.
Been struggled to finish reading the text message, her voice breaking as she paused several times to regain her composure during an interview with The Washington Post.

Gannett and N.Y. Times ask court to unseal 1990 Trump divorce records
Gannett Co., the parent company of USA TODAY and The New York Times Co. asked the New York Supreme Court Thursday to unseal the records of Donald Trump's 1990 divorce from Ivana Trump.
The divorce was granted on the ground of "cruel and inhuman treatment" but Donald and Ivana Trump later reached a settlement. The case has percolated through the news over the years, including stories earlier in the presidential campaign season about whether the billionaire, who is now the Republican presidential nominee, sexually assaulted his then-wife.
Ivana has since said that she and Donald Trump remain close friends and she has endorsed his candidacy. She has also downplayed any reference to assault in the divorce proceedings.
Nevertheless, the news organizations argue that unsealing the records of the divorce would help "resolve an ongoing campaign controversy" over that allegation.
<snip>
The records of Trump's divorce "have become directly relevant to the issues being debated in the hotly contested presidential campaign," the news organizations argue. "It would be deeply incongruous to American democracy to bar the public from seeing the official court records pertaining directly to the credibility and character of a person they must soon decide whether to elect as their president."

Talk About An Ancient Mariner! Greenland Shark Is At Least 272 Years Old
Sharks can live to be at least 272 years old in the Arctic seas, and scientists say one recently caught shark may have lived as long as 512 years.
That's according to a study published Thursday in the journal Science that says Greenland sharks can live longer than any other known animal advanced enough to have a backbone. Until now, the record-holder for the oldest vertebrate was the bowhead whale, known to have lived up to 211 years.
The Greenland shark, a massive carnivore that can be more than 16 feet long, hasn't been studied much, and its life in the cold northern waters remains largely mysterious. Julius Nielsen, at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, says there had been some hints that Greenland sharks grow very slowly, perhaps less than a centimeter per year. That suggested the huge sharks might be ancient.
"We only expected that the sharks might be very old," says Nielsen. "But we did not know in advance. And it was, of course, a very big surprise to learn that it was actually the oldest vertebrate animal."

This is apocryphal and decidedly politically incorrect.
I heard it from someone who covered politics, ages ago.
JFK and Governor Pat Brown were speaking at some point after Brown defeated Nixon in the 1962 gubernatorial election. Brown supposedly said to JFK, well you beat him and I finished him. JFK responded (supposedly again) "yeah, but did anyone put a stake through his heart?"
This was after Nixon's news conference where among other things, Nixon accused the media of making him lose. (he lost by 4%)
I couldn't help but think of that story during the republican primary circus. And I still think of it in regards to Trump.
He needs a metaphorical stake through the heart of his political and business ventures.
She can't be the only one:
Perusing the comments to a WaPo piece about Trumpian lies, I came across the following post. I can't help but wonder how many others are fleeing Trump but not courageous enough to speak of it:
"Well, it looks like Trump has gone full-Palin. I am deeply embarrassed to admit I was backing this man until 2 weeks ago. But as I dash red-faced out of the collapsing circus tent that is hosting the Trump/Pence party, I can at least say that I wasn't the last one to get out with some dignity left intact."

Hillary should hold more press conferences.
She has a trust deficit and the opinion that she isn't transparent and is too "closed off", is widespread. Yes, she held one recently; the first of 2016. Yes, she's running ahead of Trump. But I believe holding a couple of press conferences in the fall could help her address the likability, trust and transparency issues.
Even winning, no President wants to enter office with a majority thinking that the new President isn't trustworthy or transparent. Not Trump isn't a way to start off.
Speak directly to the American people. Yes, she'd get annoying questions, but she can deal with those. I think the upside to holding a couple of press conferences is greater than the downside.
Note: Alert if you wish, but this is what is known as constructive criticism. And Skinner has expressly allowed that.
