May I recommend a browser ?

https://www.opera.com/gx

It's the "gaming" version of Opera. It's a Chrome clone, of course. It has fun features, if you want them or need them.

I try to use Edge these days (another Chrome clone), but Opera GX is fun too, for me anyway. Enjoy

NORTH CONWAY, N.H. (AP) — A cat who patrolled the highest peak in the northeast U.S. for a dozen years as its weather observatory’s mascot has died.

Marty, a black Maine coon cat, succumbed to “an unforeseen illness,” Mount Washington Summit Operations Manager Rebecca Scholand said in a news release Monday.

“As a past observer who lived on the summit for four years, I can tell you Marty was a special companion, entertainer and so incredibly loved by observers and state park staff and will be sadly missed,” she wrote.

The Mount Washington Observatory staff have had a cat at the 6,288-foot summit, called the “home of the world’s worst weather,” since 1932. The observatory had recently shared the news that Marty would retire from the mountain early in 2021.

Turkey's Erdogan congratulates U.S. President-elect Biden for election win

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-turkey/turkeys-erdogan-congratulates-u-s-president-elect-biden-for-election-win-idUSKBN27Q2FN

ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan congratulated U.S. President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on their victory in the 2020 presidential election.

In his message, Erdogan reiterated Ankara’s “determination to work closely with the U.S. Administration” in the coming period, adding that “the strong cooperation and alliance” between the two countries would continue to contribute to world peace.

That's it, very short article. You know this irritates his poopy butt. The REALLY funny one will come when Putin recognizes Biden. Annoyingly, that won't occur for a while because Putin is echoing Trump's nonsense.

Lincoln Project will target Jones Day law firm (Trump's, to overturn the election) for punishment

https://twitter.com/ThePlumLineGS/status/1326189802367184897

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/11/10/inside-lincoln-projects-new-campaign-targeting-trumps-law-firm/

And then there’s Jones Day, the big law firm that is representing Trump as his campaign prepares to unleash a legal war designed to overturn the election results. The firm’s role is drawing new scrutiny, and it’s making lawyers at the firm mighty uncomfortable.

The Lincoln Project is set to launch a multi-platform campaign hammering Jones Day and other firms for their role in facilitating Trump’s efforts, I’m told. It includes TV and digital ads and social media highlighting the damage that enabling Trump threatens to our democracy and to the success of the presidential transition.

“These people have now decided that attempting to undermine the outcome of a just and fair election is perfectly acceptable for their legal practices,” Rick Wilson, a GOP strategist and co-founder of the Lincoln Project, told me, in a reference to Jones Day and other firms representing Trump and the GOP.

Wilson said the Lincoln Project will “bring a light on that,” noting that such efforts help Trump in “waging lawfare against the American people.”

Long-term pro-democracy strategy: get on Fox News as much as possible

I have no problem with "real conservatives" having their own TV network. As long as it's honest, fair, presents ALL the facts and rigorously separates the robust news department from their opinion people. I think it's fair to say that Fox does NOT do that.

Fox News is a real threat to democracy. 70% of Republicans do not view the election as fair, and most of that fault lies with Fox.

Fox News, sadly, is here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future. Therefore, we pro-democracy people and Democrats need to get our faces on Fox News as much as humanly possible. Granted, they may refuse. We can publicize that fact vigorously. We need to invade their propaganda bubble and destroy their anti-democratic message.

McConnell pushed me over the edge today. See: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-republicans-election-challenges/2020/11/09/49e2c238-22c4-11eb-952e-0c475972cfc0_story.html

The GOP and Fox News (and the rest of the RW propaganda network including most of Facebook) is now anti-democratic.

On November 7, 2020, after four days of vote counting, most major news outlets projected Biden as the winner of the presidential election.[843] Two days earlier, when the outcome was still in doubt, Trump had already prematurely declared victory.[844] Even with the election calls, Trump indicated that he does not accept this result and said "this election is far from over". He revived his claims of election fraud and said he will continue to launch legal challenges in key swing states,[845] though he has provided no evidence.[846]
