steve2470's Journal(Jewish Group) It really bothers me that Trump has emboldened the neo-Nazis
I think when history is written, his emboldening of the far right and neo-Nazis will go down as one of the very worst aspects of his legacy. Before Trump (please correct me if I'm wrong), I don't remember hearing about neo-Nazis seeking public office. Now it seems to be a weekly or monthly thing.
Between being an avid student of World War 2 and going to Berlin recently, I've become very much aware of the potential threat they are. When you are in Berlin and look at the Reichstag (and its intact bullet holes), see the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, and the Topography of Terror, it really brings it home to you in a more immediate and emotional way. I did not see Sachsenhausen or any other concentration/work/death camps but I'm sure that also really brings it home to you.
I'll be glad when we no longer have to cope with neo-Nazis seeking office on a regular basis. Except under their own rock.
Aides regularly tell Trump not to call foreign leaders at odd hours due to time zones: report
http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/401508-aides-regularly-tell-trump-not-to-call-foreign-leaders-at-odd-hoursWhite House aides must regularly tell President Trump not to call foreign leaders at odd hours due to time zone differences, according to a new Politico report about Trump's multiple "diplomatic faux-pas."
Sources close to Trump told Politico the president often proposes phone calls with world leaders, including Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, at times when they would likely be asleep.
"When he wants to call someone, he wants to call someone," one source told Politico. "Hes more impulsive that way. He doesnt think about what time it is or who it is."
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told Politico that "foreign leaders appreciate that the president is willing to take their calls day and night."

The deceased is identified as Duane Youd, according to Payson Police Sgt. Noemi Sandoval.
Police arrested Youd about 7:30 p.m. Sunday following a domestic dispute in American Fork Canyon, Sandoval said. He was released from the Utah County Jail on bail, then followed procedure in requesting a police escort to retrieve belongings at the home near 600 E. Canyon Road about midnight.
A short time later, Youd flew a plane belonging to a company he had worked for from the Spanish Fork airport and crashed it into his home about 2:30 a.m. Youd died on scene, and his wife and a juvenile inside the home escaped safely, Sandoval said.

****Jewish Group*******: Neo-Nazi wins Republican primary in Missouri
https://www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/article216387050.htmlOriginal title: Hitler was right: KC area winner of Missouri House primary leaves trail of bigotry
August 9, 2018 4:35 PM
On his Monday morning radio show, Steve West promotes fanatical conspiracies about Jewish cabals that are harvesting baby parts through Planned Parenthood, that torture and molest children and that run the Republican Party.
On Tuesday he won the Republican primary for a Clay County seat in the Missouri House by nearly 25 points.
Looking back in history, unfortunately, Hitler was right about what was taking place in Germany. And who was behind it, West said on a show on KCXL radio on Jan. 23, 2017.
West won the 15th District nomination in a four-candidate race. Besides his radio show, he also has a YouTube channel and a website. Donning a wig and fake beard and calling himself Jack Justice, he has unleashed an array of bigotry including homophobia, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and outright racism.
As far as I can tell from the article, the MO Republican Party has condemned his remarks, but he is STILL a Republican. Why don't they kick him out ? Just sick and amazing. The Republicans can't play around with this BS, they need to kick these idiots out.

Bill Nelson: The Russians have penetrated some Florida voter registration systems
https://www.tampabay.com/florida-politics/buzz/2018/08/08/bill-nelson-the-russians-have-penetrated-some-florida-voter-election-systems/(xpost from GD)
Russian operatives have "penetrated" some of Florida's election systems ahead of the 2018 midterms, Sen. Bill Nelson said Wednesday, adding new urgency about hacking.
"They have already penetrated certain counties in the state and they now have free rein to move about," Nelson told the Tampa Bay Times. He said something similar a day earlier in Tallahassee but declined to elaborate.
"That's classified," the Democrat said.
Nelson, who is up for re-election in November, and Florida's other U.S. Senator, Republican Marco Rubio, wrote a letter to the 67 county election supervisors about potential threats, but that letter lacked the specificity Nelson has laid out.
Ok, feces just got realer than real. We better be able to vote correctly in November.
Leaked document: Putin lobbied Trump on arms control
https://www.politico.com/story/2018/08/07/putin-trump-arms-control-russia-724718Vladimir Putin presented President Donald Trump with a series of requests during their private meeting in Helsinki last month, including new talks on controlling nuclear arms and prohibiting weapons in space, according to a Russian document obtained by POLITICO.
A page of proposed topics for negotiation, not previously made public, offers new insights into the substance of the July 16 dialogue that even Trump's top advisers have said they were not privy to at the time. Putin shared the contents of the document with Trump during their two-hour conversation, according to a U.S. government adviser who provided an English-language translation.
POLITICO also reviewed a Russian-language version of the document, which bore the header in Cyrillic Dialogue on the Issue of Arms Control." The person who provided the document to POLITICO obtained it from Russian officials who described it as what Putin had conveyed to Trump in Helsinki.
The White House declined to comment on the document Tuesday, aside from denying that Trump had received any actual paperwork.
