Laura PourMeADrink's JournalTomorrow, please call your mom & dad
If you are lucky enough to still have them.
They can't freely see their grandkids. They can't watch their favorite network TV shows with commercials except for re-runs. They can't freely go out to the store, to a neighbor's, to the senior center, to church, to wherever. And now they are bombarded with trump's covid 24/7.
It's bad enough for us, we can soldier thru a couple years, 4 more if he steals it. But if you are golden...
If anyone has any good ideas of what to say, please share. All I can do is just promise myself to call (live far away) and try to make them laugh.
Just think about ALL the times in your life when you saw a group of doctors on TV
Informing the public on a serious medical situation. In my memory, They were serious. They were cooperative. They were fully, engaged, unbiased and believable. They were standing side by side, eager to inform.
trump's was NOTHING like that.
Did all those doctors work at walter Reed? They looked like craigslist docs.
Hope Hicks wasn't at SC announcement??
https://twitter.com/nypapajoe/status/1312247100164517889?s=20Covid knows the difference between Republicans and Democrats?
When they get it...."I feel fine, just protecting others and am gonna quarantine for them." "Just a tad of a cough like I sniffed black pepper" " I'm positive but no symptoms". " Just a VERY mild case, no worries"
Us, "Worst two weeks of my life". " Like I was drowning" " Thought at any minute, this was the end."
What Trump said should put to rest any idea anyone or any thing can make him more empathetic or
less boastful or that he could stop always blaming others.
Covid scares and humbles any normal human being who gets a positive diagnosis.
Yet trump...Blamed police? Military? And said that they love him so much they are always trying to hug and kiss him because he has done such a great job for them.
