Global Capitalism: Monthly Economic Update
"Demands for Basic Economic Change Keep Growing"
with Richard D. Wolff
Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 7:30pm
Judson Memorial Church (Assembly Hall, 239 Thompson St. at Washington Square, Manhattan)
Co-sponsored by Democracy at Work, Left Forum, and Judson Memorial Church
These programs begin with 30 minutes of short updates on important economic events of the last month. Then Wolff analyzes several major economic issues. This month, these will include:
1. Todays extreme global wealth inequality: the facts and what they mean
2. Capitalisms instability: risk of economic crises in 2016, the evidence
3. Britains Labour Party endorses worker coops as major new policy
When time permits, we open the floor to questions and comments. Our goal: to develop all participants understanding and ability to explain current economic events and trends to others.
