Pay-to-Play already happening at Trump's hotel in DC:

For foreign diplomats, Trump hotel is place to be

About 100 foreign diplomats, from Brazil to Turkey, gathered at the Trump International Hotel this week to sip Trump-branded champagne, dine on sliders and hear a sales pitch about the U.S. president-elect’s newest hotel.

The event for the diplomatic community, held one week after the election, was in the Lincoln Library, a junior ballroom with 16-foot ceilings and velvet drapes that is also available for rent.

Some attendees won raffle prizes — among them overnight stays at other Trump properties around the world — allowing them to become better acquainted with the business holdings of the new commander in chief. (snip)

In interviews with a dozen diplomats, many of whom declined to be named because they were not authorized to speak about anything related to the next U.S. president, some said spending money at Trump’s hotel is an easy, friendly gesture to the new president.

“Why wouldn’t I stay at his hotel blocks from the White House, so I can tell the new president, ‘I love your new hotel!’ Isn’t it rude to come to his city and say, ‘I am staying at your competitor?’ ” said one Asian diplomat.

...and so it goes.

Ed Shultz just dug a deeper hole.

I can't find the earlier OP that was posted on DU, but I did read them. If someone can find the link I would be more than happy to bump it.

and now this:

Is this a glitch?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/12512204440

For background, this is the host thread about this alert: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1243176050#top

It was locked and after a lack of consensus, it was re-opened.

The thread was unlocked by a host with no name and then the OP was able to self-delete.

I am fine with a self-delete -- that is always a personal choice, what I don't understand is how a host with no name can unlock a thread.

We went to Château d'Amboise, Clos Lucé and Château de Villandry

It was only a day trip but we managed to see these three:

Château d'Amboise:

Clos Lucé: (There is a tunnel that connects Lucé to d'Amboise for DaVinci)

and Villandry. (The gardens were still starting to pop but they were amazing nonetheless)

Have fun! I can't wait to get back there and spend a week!

Leaving tomorrow for Paris!

I can't even begin to tell you how exited I am. This has been a place I've wanted to visit since I was in my teens!

Due to an awful lot of life circumstances over the past thirty years it never seemed to happen.

The tickets were booked last November. We have a Flat rental in the Panthéon neighborhood and it's about a 3-5 minute walk to the Seine.

We will be making the rounds to museums and walking around and eating and playing in the city. We are spending one day in the Loire Valley to visit some vineyards, etc., and will be tryinig to Visit Da Vinci's final resting place.

The rest is all Paris in the springtime!

I hope to be providing pics when we return in two weeks!

to all my DU friends!

Trump aide charged with misdemeanor battery vs. ex-Breitbart reporter

Source: Palm Beach Post

JUPITER — Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump campaign manager, was charged this morning with misdemeanor battery after allegations of forcefully grabbing a reporter at a Jupiter news conference, town police confirmed this morning.

Following a March 8 conference at Trump National Golf Club, Michelle Fields, a 28-year-old reporter formerly with the online Breitbart News Network, said she was grabbed on the arm by Lewandowski, 41, after she asked Trump a question about affirmative action.

Washington Post reporter Ben Terris wrote that he witnessed the battery.

Jupiter police later said they were looking into the incident after Fields filed a report, although investigators had not named Lewandowski.

Thank you for the Changes on DU.

Because of the changes, specifically not having GD(P), the HRC group and BS group on the front page, I have had a wonderful chance to see posts in others groups that I would normally not visit.

Trending Now and Greatest Threads links on the home page are so much nicer to read and learn from.

Thank you for letting the rest of DU having a chance to shine.
