stevenleser's JournalCongrats to those who worked hard to get this group created!
I will definitely be participating!
I really like the exceptions statement pinned to the top of GD, but can I ask...
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10022542300is it possible to have a general guestimate of how long each exception is expected to last?
The guns exception has now lasted for three months. Is the exception going to end some short period after attempts at gun control legislation are over? The Pope issue is from last week and most of the discussions relating to Catholicism don't relate to that event, they are excuses to bash DU Catholics or OPs complaining about people bashing DU Catholics.
If you missed hearing it live, click to hear tonight's show re: CPAC, the new Pope, Jeb 2016? & more
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/lesersense/2013/03/17/making-sense-with-steve-leser--cpac-new-pope-and-moreDon't miss this week's Making Sense with Steve Leser radio Show which aired at 7pm EST on Sunday on BlogTalk Radio and will air at 2pm Pacific Time on KCAA 1050am in Inland Empire California
We started off with full CPAC coverage, we talked about the big speeches and events with my no nonsense analysis of that annual seminal event.
Then we have a new pope, Pope Francis. Will Pope Francis offer any substantive changes that will impact American politics.
And then are we in for a third Bush running for President?
As always, we finished with our Trademark weekly hall of fame and shame for those politicians and prominent individuals who made great sense, or shameful nonsense, respectively.
This weeks Listener Feedback topic is reports of President Obamas willingness to make Entitlement changes. If any DUer wants to weigh in on that, email your opinion to makingsenseletters@yahoo.com and I will try to read your opinion on the air.
Rand Paul entered CPAC to "Enter Sandman" and the teabaggers went nuts. The term is trending on
twitter.
Shows you how teabaggers are easily impressed by shiny objects. The guy made a completely meaningless filibuster that impacted nothing. And the teabaggers are ready to annoint himm their hero.

Thought my friends here would appreciate this. From Bartcop's site:
"Your last show was too risque [to feature] (Guest was the Rude Pundit)... but content is excellent"
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/lesersense/2013/03/10/making-sense-with-steve-leser--rude-pundit-week-in-reviewFind out why blogtalk radio could not feature the show on the home page. Listen above to my last show featuring the Rude Pundit!
My contact from blogtalk radio had this to say:
"the content is not child or work safe, and we cannot feature. While we would have loved to have featured the show it was too risque for our home page but please...continue to submit the show as content is excellent."
Reminder: The Rude Pundit interview on my Radio show tonight at 7pm Eastern time
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/lesersense/2013/03/10/making-sense-with-steve-leser--rude-pundit-week-in-reviewThe Rude Pundit will be on Making Sense for a fun segment about Tucker Carlson and the Senator Menendez Prostitution allegations as well as the Rude Pundit's take on the Rand Paul filibuster. The full program is as follows:
1. Interview with the Rude Pundit about the Senator Menendez Prostitution allegations and the Rand Paul filibuster
2. Are some banks too Big to Prosecute?
3. Unemployment reaches four year low but are Republicans happy about that?
We have our reader feedback section where our topic is the Legacy of Hugo Chavez. Was Venezuela better off or worse off as a result of his tenure?
And of course we will have our trademark hall of fame and shame for those politicians and pundits who either did something that made great sense or shameful nonsense, respectively
The program will also air Monday at 2pm Pacific time on the NBC Radio affiliate KCAA 1050am in Inland Empire California. The weblink for that show is http://tunein.com/radio/KCAA-1050-s31934/ (note this streams the current content at all times from that station)
A poem, Expansion
Expansion
From the moment we are born, the world tends to have a container already built for us
to fit inside: A social security number, a gender, a race, a profession or an I.Q.
I ponder if we are more defined by the container we are in, rather than what we are inside.
Would we recognize ourselves if we could expand beyond our bodies?
Would we still be able to exist if we were authentically 'un-contained'?
