What happened to all those sealed indictments from Mueller investigation?

Were they unsealed? Are they still valid?

It's not often that I would agree with Britt Hume, but he's nailed it this time.

@brithume
President Trump’s attacks on the late John McCain mark the first time in memory where a President has picked a fight with a dead man and lost. McCain was no saint, but he was a brave and patriotic man. Hitting him when he can’t hit back is repellent.

A 'pathetic life': Meghan McCain escalates her pushback against Trump

Meghan McCain said Monday that President Trump is leading a “pathetic life” as she escalated her pushback against Trump’s weekend attacks on Twitter against her late father.

“He spends his weekend obsessing over great men, because he knows it, and I know it, and all of you know it, he will never be a great man,” McCain, a co-host of ABC’s “The View,” said of Trump during Monday’s episode.

She remembered how before his death nearly seven months ago from brain cancer, John McCain, the Republican senator from Arizona, would spend time with her and others in the family cooking, hiking and fishing on the weekends.

Upon seeing derogatory tweets about her father over the weekend, Meghan McCain said she thought “your life is spent on your weekends not with your family, not with your friends, but obsessing, obsessing over great men you could never live up to.”

She has called it correctly. Trump is obsessed with men he knows he can never measure up to so he has to spend his time trying to tear them down. What a despicable person he is.

Should media avoid naming the gunmen in mass shootings?

A few months after teen shooters killed 12 classmates and her father at Columbine High School, Coni Sanders was standing in line at a grocery store with her young daughter when they came face to face with the magazine cover.

It showed the two gunmen who had carried out one of the deadliest school shootings in U.S. history. Sanders realized that few people knew much about her father, who saved countless lives. But virtually everyone knew the names and the tiniest of details about the attackers who carried out the carnage.

In the decades since Columbine, a growing movement has urged news organizations to refrain from naming the shooters in mass slayings and to cease the steady drumbeat of biographical information about them. Critics say giving the assailants notoriety offers little to help understand the attacks and instead fuels celebrity-style coverage that only encourages future attacks.

The 1999 Colorado attack continues to motivate mass shooters, including the two men who this week stormed their former school in Brazil, killing seven people.

White Nationalist Rep. Steve King Posts Violent Meme About New Civil War

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), who has a long history of touting white nationalism, has taken his meme game to a violent new level.

The disgraced lawmaker ― who was unceremoniously stripped of all his House committee assignments this year for previous white nationalist rhetoric ― shared a graphic that imagined “another civil war,” this time between red and blue states.

“One side has about 8 trillion bullets, while the other side doesn’t know which bathroom to use,” states the meme, shared on one of King’s verified Facebook pages.

“Wonder who would win...” added King, apparently not noticing that his home state was depicted on the losing side.

It seems that some on the right are actively promoting violence. What is wrong with these people???

WTH, Missouri? Forced gun ownership?

A bill introduced to the Missouri House of Representatives would require every resident between 18 and 34 years old to own at least one AR-15.

Introduced by Bootheel Representative Andrew McDaniel, House Bill 1108 is called the “McDaniel Militia Act.”

The bill defines an “AR-15” as “any semi-automatic rifle that is modeled on the AR-15 rifle design by AramLite, Inc.” It defines a “resident” as “a resident of the state who is 18 years or older and under 35 years old, who is not prohibited by law or court order from possessing a firearm.”

Under the bill, residents could be eligible for a tax credit equal to 75 percent of the cost of the AR-15 they bought.

The article goes on to say that this same yahoo introduced another bill requiring handgun ownership. At this time, neither bill has been put on the calendar.

Donald Trump, Jr. offers his thoughts on the NZ shooter.

https://twitter.com/DonaldJTrumpJr/status/1106406797051600897?s=20

Donald Trump Jr.

@DonaldJTrumpJr
Don’t give the POS NZ shooter what he wants. Don’t speak his name don’t show the footage. Seems that most agree on that. The questions is can the media do what’s right and pass up the ratings they’ll get by doing the opposite? I fear we all know the answer unfortunately.

President Trump won a 2018 club championship -- without actually playing in it!

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Donald Trump takes great pride in his golf game. Shinzo Abe and Tiger Woods and countless others can tell you about that. He once tweeted “I don’t cheat at golf” but added that Samuel L. Jackson does and “with his game he has no choice.” The president’s official USGA handicap index is listed as 2.8, though he seldom posts scores. Any visitor to the ornate men’s locker room at his club here, Trump International Golf Club, can see small rectangular brass plaques on his locker, recognizing him as the 1999, 2001 and 2009 club champion, and the 2012 and 2013 senior champion.

And now there’s a new plaque on his locker, screwed into its stained wood with two small Phillips head screws, to commemorate his latest title. It reads:

President Trump's locker at Trump International in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Yes, Trump was president of the United States for all of 2018.

-------

But to be precise about it, the plaque on his locker is two letters short of accurate. Trump is not actually the men’s champion at the club. He’s the co-champion. While that distinction is not found on his locker, it is made elsewhere at the club.
