The 19-year-old Texan describes herself as a queer, plus-size, disabled Latina. Shes the kind of person whom Trumpists love to target and troll. And she has quickly become one of the Republican Partys most formidable foes.
The story of how this political strategist at the nonprofit Gen-Z for Change came to haunt so many MAGA Republicans should be a lesson for Democrats: Sometimes its best to bring some Texas swagger to the war over democracy.
All at the link! A great op-ed.
REALLY off topic!
I am sticking to a well-regimented course of ice packs and two types of pain killers* to keep the pain at bay.
When it works, it's great. When I miss a dose, or it's late, then the pain increases.
So I'm motivated to keep to my schedule!
*1 gram Tylenol and 1 200mg ibuprofen. Every four hours for each; every two hours alternating.
Pain sucks!
Thanks to all of you, and especially to Callalily for coming to my rescue!
***Announcement regarding the September Contest: Summer***
I may have to postpone the opening of the September Contest: Summer.
I had a hard fall this morning (my right ankle turned under me, and I fell against a built-in bookcase).
I didn't break any bones but wow, this sucker hurts! I have spoken with my doctor and he advised me as to how to proceed, which I am doing.
I am applying an ice pack and carefully taking ibuprofen about every 6 hours. The pain has diminished some from this morning, but it's still there. My doctor told me that I will probably be sore for about 3 weeks. Oh goody!
Therefore, I may not feel up to posting dates and such tomorrow, which is what I'd planned. We shall see. I will start things up as soon as I am able. If not tomorrow, then most likely over the weekend.
I will get through this!
What IS it?
On edit: See post #19! It's my granite counter top in my kitchen with a drop of water.
This is a recent photo of me! This is what I really look like:
My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary in June, and he caught this photo with my iPhone! I really like it, and I hope all of you do, too.
