We'll miss BB. May he rest in peace.

Come Rain or Come Shine was one of my favorites.

I'm gonna cheat. I have buttermilk biscuits in the freezer.

It's 37 degrees outside my back door this morning which makes it a perfect morning for baking something lovin' from the oven.

Crippled squirrels find their way to my feeders. Please Keep Your Cat Inside!

Sigh. Every morning I watch the survivors wobble around. They seem so happy to have found food and water. I've often wondered about the missing fluffy tails. The squirrels in my yard look like they have beaver tails.

Then today ... a three legged squirrel showed up.

These squirrels have healed from whatever trauma they've lived through but it wouldn't be necessary if my neighbors would keep their pets inside.

My Blue & Gold is driving me nuts these days.

She was a baby in the spring of 2001. This year she has been nesting since January. My only job is to supply her with shredable paper towels and my food. Her feathers are a mess. But she doesn't have any bald spots so I'm thankful for that.

We also have a guest umbrella cockatoo and a live-in lesser sulfur crested cockatoo. Oh, and 24 diamond doves.

About In_The_Wind

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieve it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. ~~~~~~~~~ For, it ends in the blink of an eye. Carpe Diem (Seize the day)!
