Matt Gaetz is NOT a Florida Congressman.

As a South Floridian I must protest the reference to Gaetz as "Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Florida)." His district is within an area referred to by many as the "Florida Panhandle" but I prefer to call it "Virtual Alabama." Therefore he should henceforth be referred to as "Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Virtual Alabama)."

Some wondered if Mr. Trump had orchestrated the departure of his least-favorite Fox News anchor through a private meeting this week between Rupert Murdoch, the mogul who controls the network, and Mr. Trumpís attorney general, William Barr.

Question: Have rival presidential candidates ever become running mates after the primaries?

I honestly don't know and I haven't had any success researching it. Has a presidential candidate who lost the nomination in the primaries ever become the winner's vice presidential nominee? If not, why not?

Undecided but narrowed down.
