One similarity to Watergate. Liars & lawbreakers go to prison.

Some who have lied for Trump are now in prison. Or, if they did illegal acts for Trump, some are now in prison.

Some who ........lied for Nixon, went to prison, or did illegal acts for Nixon, went to prison.

And..those who lied and or broke the law and went to prison in both instances, "thought they would get away with it" That is a major similarity. That is how crooks think. That is how Trump thinks. Trump will NOT get away with it. - it will take time but that is what is going to happen in my opinion.

Pelosi and Schiff are dedicated to finding the truth. They will leave no stone unturned. It will not be pretty and it will get much worse for "Trump and his Gang" in my opinion.

"Thou Shalt Not Lie." When ? 3300 Years Ago in Bible. The reason Trump will not win.

...Honesty is the..."best policy" we are taught. So, I am not familiar with other religions, but I suspect that the major religions of the world have in their rules of living something similar to "Thou Shalt Not Lie". I really don't know about other religions, but someone here knows. (at least I am being honest on this)
...Why important? We are taught about this from a very early age. Why? When we learn to talk to our parents, they want to know the truth. "Did you touch a hot stove?" Yes, the 3 year old says. Or, if it is clear that his hand is burned and he/she touched the stove and the 3 year old tells a "No" , then there is a lesson on lying. We need the truth to survive and we all know and are taught that.
...Donald Trump lies all the time about everything and anything. He doesn't care, and it seems he never has cared. For that reason alone he cannot win. Since, he has been doing this all the time, a great majority of the people who vote in the United States know about "Lying Donald Trump."
...Republican leaders and their party support "Lying Donald Trump." Deep within all of us are those 4 words, "Thou Shalt Not Lie." We all know lying is wrong. Even if many of us lie a whole lot, we still know it is wrong. It is my opinion that is the reason that Trump will lose, and the Republican Party will lose because it still supports and has supported "Lying Donald Trump." It is simple. And, even a 3 to 5 year old knows about it.

Is there any defense to the tweet that everyone is talking about?

I am asking lawyers or students of "illegal threats." I don't know what to call the Trump Tweet. My gut says it is all over for Mr. Trump, but I would like to hear from others more knowledgeable on the subject.

The exact moment Adam Schiff reads Trump tweet to Marie Yovanovitch

length of video...2min 54 seconds

Erick Swallwell at CNN, "Innocent people don't intimidate witnesses, This is what guilty people do."

House Democrat on Trump's tweets: "Innocent people don't intimidate witnesses"
Rep. Eric Swalwell said the President "is seeking to destroy" former ambassador Marie Yovanovitch "for testifying against him" with his tweets attacking her during testimony.

Swalwell said that the House will "view that as witness intimidation not only to the ambassador but future witnesses who would come in."

He added: "Innocent people don't intimidate witnesses. This is what guilty people do, and the President continues to act guilty."

Swalwell said Trump's intimidation should be considered for articles of impeachment

I wonder if Trump really thinks he can ...."Get Away With This One."?

..Does he know what is coming? Does Donald Trump have a clue? Is he being told lies about what is coming? Is Donald Trump so delusional that he thinks he can get away with all this? Just asking. It really doesn't matter, because we know that he will not get away with this one.

A very simple idea about "scam calls". Why do we get so many of them?

Just 2 words... THEY WORK.!!!

...If these kind of calls didn't work, then we would not get any. Scammers know that a large percent will not work. Chances are, those with a lot of experience, know the approximate percent. But if scams did not work some of the time, to get easy money, (even though it is against the law) then experienced people would try something else that gets people's money.

...Not only do these scams work, but the scammers know that if the number of successful people who get scammed are kept down, then very few scammers get caught. Scammers are greedy assholes, and they want..MORE, AND MORE, AND MORE. !!!!!

...So, many go on, and on, and on..and get caught. We read about them. So and so scammed 25,000 and got 4 to 5 million dollars. Those are the ones who get caught. The ones who get away, we do not read about. And some get away because the scams get some money from lots of people, and often people do not report that they have been scammed with some deal or idea that was too good to be true.

..So..IF it sounds too good to be true, it probably is not true.

Great Article on Scams, phishing, other cons (also how to prevent from being taken by these scams.)

If you read the entire article, you will get an idea of how these phone scams work, how successful they are, and how to prevent yourself from being taken.
written by Allen Kim, October 27, 2019, CNN title of article:

A scam targeting Americans over the phone has resulted in millions of dollars lost to hackers. Don't be the next victim.

This idea: "Everything is more expensive these days." is a total lie, and here's proof.

..Some things and services are much cheaper. Not a little but a whole lot. So, here is the proof: In the 50s a long distant phone call might cost (and I am not sure of this number) $1.25. for 3 minutes. I remember being told that the long distance calls needed to be very short because they are ..."so expensive"
..Now, these calls are much cheaper. Not a little, but a whole lot le. If a 50s call was that expensive, let us convert that in ..."inflation terms" In reality, from today's viewpoint, that 50s call was at least 5 times more expensive than 3rd sentence implies. From an honest view of that 50s call, it was not $1.25 for 3 minutes, but in today's money, 6 to 7 dollars for that 3 minute long distance call. How can that happen? Who did that and how did they do it?
..It is one word: technology. It was technology that changed it and made it much cheaper. The communication field was filled with helpers. Operators, call assistants, experts on keeping the calls short, and all kinds of other ideas. But today, it is technology. Phones are made by machines. (not in the U.S.A. like they used to be made, but somewhere abroad) The entire system is operated by technology. Modern machines do not need a lunch break
... While it might be more complicated than that, that is the heart of this issue. Many young people do not have the faintest idea what an operator did. It is similar to reading a "map." The machine tells you where to turn, and how to get there. Technology, Technology, and MORE..Technology. ALSO, that technology is much cheaper than it was 30 -to 40 years ago. That is part of the show, and that is also the truth. As I sit at this computer, and as I think back to the 1980s, I didn't have the faintest idea in the early 80s, that I would own a computer and operate one. But here we are, and this is now, and that is the past. And that is why this statement: "Everything is more expensive these days" is a ...TOTAL LIE....
