Andrew B. and sympathy

OK, first off, few people wish any ill on his family. Even if it turns out his wife supported him and enjoyed the money, we can also note that there was little anyone could have done to stop him from being what he was. Some people choose to be who they are, and not all the threats of an early grave nor begging pleas can stop that, nor does that make it any easier for the family.

However, we need to keep one thing very clear. Andrew knew he was hurting people, and he did not care, period. Let's say he was just a showman that knew where his bread was buttered. He knew that poor people, vulnerable people were getting hurt, and he at best did not care, and at worst, enjoyed it. Furthermore, he knws he was LYING. It is one thing to be a sociopathic jerk is you were raised to be one and know no better. Mitt Romney and Grover Norquist, kids of the manor born, could be prime examples of people that really do believe their own lies.

Andrew had to know, in the editing room, that he was ACTIVELY LYING, as was his sidekick, Miles. Evidence is there, and when you edit fottage, you have to watch the stuff you cut out. Somewhere on the cutting room floor, there had to be something his conscience had to ignore. This is NOT just the idea of left and right fighting honorably, this was deception fueled by MONEY.

So no, I am not going to be kind. Yes, I do feel for mothers and wives and sons. However, the words used by charatans kill, and have been shown to cause violence. I do not even need to say the words "Gabby Giffords" as we all know that was not the first time the right wing radio jocks inspired violence, nor will it be the last. Long before Tim Mcveigh, long before Gabby, long before Free Republic, there is a pattern in Right-wing media for the right to call for violence, and then whine when they get called on it. Sadly, the internet has allowed some of these types to get a lot more traction than normal, as the late Mr. Breitbart was perhaps the main example thereof. Unlike Stephen Colbert, who plays a character that is no more real than Mickey Mouse, Breitbart wrapped himself in the mantle of serious journalist, indeed, he saw himself as the replacement for such, which means that we expected to be taken seriously. He did not even do the weak "I am just a harmless fuzzball" speech Rush trots out. or even the "I am just a rock star" that Ted Nugent says, disclaimers that remind people that they take people serious at their own risk. Yes, those disclaimers are weak, but they at least are there to remind people that there was a sdifference between news and entertainment.

The point is, Andrew, Miles and those like him, are not trying to be simple entertainers. They are IN THE WAR, trying to get people hurt, if not killed. They have made a climate here that has made this country the most divided since the Civil War, and cheer on the warmongers, even as , with every war in the modern era, we make humanity's lifeline a little thinner. Americans have died thanks to these people, and many elsewhere have died. Go to an emergency room, or food kitchen, or foreclosure, and tell me that these people have not caused innocent people to suffer!

Yes, I do feel pity for Andy's family and friends, but I feel more compassion for those who were harmed, and will be harmed. I can feel for enemies fallen in war, but this man was no honorable opponent. Furthermore, those who will follow his path need to know that they can and will be called to account for what they do. If democracy wins, they can be embrassed and run out of their little trade...if they push things to society goes mad, then they can and will reap their share of the whirlwind.

Controversy over Scientology influence clouds future of Pinellas charter school

http://www.tampabay.com/news/education/controversy-over-scientology-influence-clouds-future-of-pinellas-charter/1217239

So, I guess now that charter schools are favored, everybody has figured out where the gravy train is: in that wound in the side of public education. I can hear Florida Jesus Freaks going "well, you all know it was meant to allow US to take taxpayer money, not those heathen!" Don't worry, I am sure they are working on a "Christians only" reqrite of the law as we speak, knowing Tallahassee.

Don't be the Hare

OK, I realize I have said things like this op before, but I still read many many ops that state something to the effect of "We have this election in the bag", or "no way would the GOP win."

Yes, it is funny to see the GOP finally have to start cleaning the same mess they have been throwing at us. However, all this is just the preliminary fight. Once someone is anointed, they will be unified by the sheer hatred they have for Obama. Remember how many GOP hated the idea of voting for Bush?, same principle, or rather, lack of principle on the part of the GOP. They will vote for Satan as long as he is not Barack Obama, and unlike us, they know the value of packing the voting booth.

But let's say the whole "front runner things" is left to dangle into spring.

Why would that even matter?

Keep in mind, a PAC does not have to promote Mitt or anyone, all it has to do is tear down someone, and keep doing so till the brains of the viewers are tender. Keep in mind, Romney has not won anything by seeling himself, but by having his pacs keep shoveling money to the Media about how much the other guy stinks. You do not need to be a marksman when you have a machinegun and unlimited ammo. Keep in mind, there is nothing stopping anybody, be they the Koches to the Red Chinese, from simply sending in as much money as it takes, period.

All they have to do is make people feel nervous about Obama. They will use everything, including the Nader/Hamsher side of the left. Of course, the media will be complicit as hell, especially as they know they have everything to gain by making this a nasty election. All the ego types will be mugging for their 15 minutes of shame, providing nothing but ammo.

But's let's not forget the price of oil. Even if Obama offered to hang oil speculators, we are stuck with the fact the oil companies are hiding behind foriegn markets. Never mind that they have houses in Beverly Hills, after all, they think Americans are just means to their ends, and the Churches are right behind them saying that their vice is virtue. Speaking of churches, let us not forget them. They will want to be vocal, especially since a Mormon is running. Why?, because they know they will need to BUY influence. Mitt does not have to pretend to owe the Bible belt anything.

And last, let's not forget, Iran and Isreal both know they can force elections. They will gladly repeat Carter, seeing as how they know that GOP in the Oval Office is good for business. As long as we keep on course, both Tel Aviv and Tehran know that their young people will walk into meat grinders, instead of bringing in an arab spring.

I am not saying be glum, but I am saying that we will delude ourselves if we think this election is going to be "won" on the mertis, the GOP can do only two things, steal and confuse, but they will preapre to do just that.

Find the Toxic Activist

Sample:
"if these folks listened more, they’d have a chance to attract someone to their side. But the toxic among us would rather spend time wondering why they keep losing elections.

When they spread rumors about an ideology to which I subscribe, the result isn’t a holy light shining down on me from above while I yell, “You’re right! You’re so right!” The result is that from now on, I approach hyperbolic statements with skepticism.

They’re lying about me, so they must be lying about everything."

We all know some people who fit this.

About the Obama Relection

Look folks, I understand we are happy about the GOP imploding. Yes, it is nice to see Obama get a bump in the polls. Yes, it is nice to see Liberals being proven right for a change.

However, this is no time to play Hare to the GOP turtle, nor is it, by paradox, time to lessen pressure on Obama to turn left.
The right wing is mobilizing billions, as are those who would benefit from them, including China, Iran, and yes, Netanyahu's twisted version of Israel.

The Gas companies will jack the gas to 5 bucks a Gallon, then say they would gladly make it cheap if they had that pipeline and a few oil rigs off Florida.

The Tehran and Tel Aviv regimes benefit, so they will glaldy declare a war, as both Tehran and Tel Aviv have to hide the fact that they have failed to govern, and that they are the reason their children have a nasty future ahead.

Wall Street knows they need Mitt in there to ensure they are never called to power. Yes, Obama has not done enough, but they know a fellow criminal like Mitt or Newt will burn holes in the law to save them, even if, and especially if it takes makes the Supreme Court a Kangeroo court to do it.

The MSM, lets face it, even the folks at MSNBC will have somethign to gain by a GOP victory. I love my Michael Moore, my Cenk, my Rachel, but even they will be honest and admit that 4 more years of GOP mayhem would fatten their wallets. As far the rest, they are often Fox News wearing Sheep's clothing.

And sadly, even onn the far left, the Ted ralls, the Jane Hamshers, et al. They think that a bloody revolution is all that is needed, and the GOP dominance is the way to get it, as well as punish Obama for not being their caddy. Of course, they refuse to learn the lesson of 2000, where the right could profit even if the man in the Oval Office is a complete idiot. Yes, W. is gone back to the ranch, but he served his role, just as easily as whoever they put in will serve theirs, Remember that Norquist says that he does not need a leader, just someone to sign documents.

Let us not forget the dirty tricks, and that all the swing states have governors who are actively gaming the system, trying to keep students, minorties and elderly from voting. Their operatives are already bragging about how they plan election fraud. This is in an era where, sorry to say, the GOP got EXACTLY what they wanted by shooting Gabby Giffords. Even the "moderates" will make excuses, as this becomes a trend, NOT a freak occurence.

All I am saying is, don't let your guard down. This can make the 2000 elections look like Halcyon days.

The Clown car crashing?

A lot of people are happy to see the clown car crash. After all, if Mitt cannot close the deal now, that only shows how much the GOP dislikes him, and so on..

Watch out: There are two nasty consequences of the GOP fight being longer:

ONE: Brokered convention. Anyone wh thinks Tampa was picked by accident should buy a bridge in Brokklyn. This is a state that elected a crook to the governor, because he was to the RIGHT of Jeb Bush. If they Broker the convention, Jeb gets a head start, mwithout having to have taken potshots, nor having to have spent money on the primary. What should be a mark of failure becomes a cheap way to get elected.

TWO: Mixed focus:
Obama needs to fire at the GOP. If Romney is not a target (and heaven knows he makes a fine one) than he has to waste ammo an Rick and Newt. The problem with those two is that their Religous Base would simply eat attacks as ammo, and they allow Romney to look like the "normal" guy, to l;ure in the independent voters. The key to winning is to make the independent voters see Romney as the weak, creepy bastard he is. Newt and Rick prevent that.
