Waiting For Everyman
Waiting For Everyman's Journal
Waiting For Everyman's Journal

Olbermann tweeted this morning... "Bain Bailout = Ballgame. See ya, Mitt."
President Obama tweeted a link to it, too:
"Rolling Stone: Mitt Romney secured millions in a federal bailout for Bain while paying big bonuses to executives."
I think Mittster is toast.

The Jackson Browne song, "For Everyman".
from the lyrics:
"I'm waiting here for Everyman,
Don't aske me if he'll show -- I don't know... "
I joined during the '08 election, so this summer is like deja vu all over again.

I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died
With the Eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the Seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite
Did we fly to the moon too soon?
Did we squander the chance?
In the rush of the race
The reason we chase is lost in romance
And still we try
To justify the waste
For a taste of man's greatest adventure
I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died
With the Eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the Seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite
Have we lost what it takes to advance?
Have we peaked too soon?
If the world is so green
Then why does it scream under a blue moon?
We wonder why
If the earth's sacrificed
For the price of it's greatest treasure
I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died
With the Eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the Seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite
And when we shoot for the stars,
What a giant step!
Have we got what it takes
To carry the weight of this concept?
Or pass it by, like a shot in the dark,
Miss the mark with a sense of adventure
I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died
With the Eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the Seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite

Echo and the Bunnymen, "Bring On the Dancing Horses"
Jimmy Brown
Made of stone
Charlie Clown
No way home
Bring on the dancing horses
Headless and all alone
Shiver and say the words
Of every lie you've heard
First I'm gonna make it
Then I'm gonna break it
Till it falls apart
Hating all the faking
And shaking while I'm breaking
Your brittle heart
Billy stands
All alone
Sinking sand
Skin and bone
Bring on the dancing horses
Wherever they may roam
Shiver and say the words
Of every lie you've heard
First I'm gonna make it
Then I'm gonna break it
Till it falls apart
Hating all the faking
And shaking while I'm breaking
Your brittle heart
Brittle heart
Brittle heart
Brittle heart
And my little heart
Goes
Jimmy Brown
Made of stone
Charlie Clown
No way home
Bring on the headless horses
Wherever they may roam
Shiver and say the words
Of every lie you've heard
First I'm gonna make it
Then I'm gonna break it
Till it falls apart
Hating all the faking
And shaking while you're breaking
My brittle heart
Brittle heart
Brittle heart
And our little heart
Goes
Bring on the new messiah
Wherever he may roam
Bring on the new messiah
Wherever he may roam
Bring on the new messiah
Wherever he may roam
Bring on the new messiah
Wherever he may roam

I never would've guessed that we'd ever have a Presidential nominee who would be known for the phrase "dancing horses". That sums it up for me.
A theme song for Ann Romney (and Mittens too, for that matter).
In a way, it's too good for them -- because I like the song, But it does seem to fit them and their followers.
