To Meta; Part 1 & 2

December 6, 2012

Thanks for the request.

Don't like the 60's? No problem.

December 6, 2012

HoF has been ginning up hate ever since it got started.

The group is just as guilty as the person who did the deed because it certainly led her to believe that that was "the thing to do". It's how the whole throng has been acting here in Meta and getting their way for it. They are emboldened by their fresh kills, so one of them felt safe in spreading their same vicious tactics from here to the Lounge... even against someone as innocuous as SCE. That says something.

Someone described it as a "sniper attack" and that's exactly what it was... seeking out something to make into a complaint where none exists, simply for the purpose of damaging a well-thought-of innocent person. Someone who dared to not be just as outraged as she was about her agenda. Where did she come up with that way of thinking? Well coincidentally, I saw it everywhere in Meta this past week.

Give me a break! You bet the group is equally responsible for this, and maybe moreso than the individual. That's like saying the group cheering on the bully beating up a kid had nothing to do with it. Who do you think you're kidding, as if we're drive ups who just got here last minute and don't remember the entire past year's deluge of shockingly nasty, lame, power playing nonsense spewed relentlessly on a daily basis.

You're right, sabrina1 and pacalo... I'll speak up too.

I'm another woman who's a less-engaged dissenter. Sabrina, your posts in this thread hit the nail on the head -- you spelled out exactly why I lurk a lot more than I used to. As it stands now, I think it's about building a power base and not much else. It's just like the religious right or a street gang... the fearful want protectors, and the protectors want the power of numbers.

So this below is a better description of exactly how I feel than I could give myself...

"I used to care, but things have changed..."

(even though Dylan is a man, so what)

A worried man with a worried mind
No one in front of me and nothing behind
There’s a woman on my lap and she’s drinking champagne
Got white skin, got assassin’s eyes
I’m looking up into the sapphire-tinted skies
I’m well dressed, waiting on the last train

Standing on the gallows with my head in a noose
Any minute now I’m expecting all hell to break loose

People are crazy and times are strange
I’m locked in tight, I’m out of range
I used to care, but things have changed

This place ain’t doing me any good
I’m in the wrong town, I should be in Hollywood
Just for a second there I thought I saw something move
Gonna take dancing lessons, do the jitterbug rag
Ain’t no shortcuts, gonna dress in drag
Only a fool in here would think he’s got anything to prove

Lot of water under the bridge, lot of other stuff too
Don’t get up gentlemen, I’m only passing through

People are crazy and times are strange
I’m locked in tight, I’m out of range
I used to care, but things have changed

I’ve been walking forty miles of bad road
If the Bible is right, the world will explode
I’ve been trying to get as far away from myself as I can
Some things are too hot to touch
The human mind can only stand so much
You can’t win with a losing hand

Feel like falling in love with the first woman I meet
Putting her in a wheelbarrow and wheeling her down the street

People are crazy and times are strange
I’m locked in tight, I’m out of range
I used to care, but things have changed

I hurt easy, I just don’t show it
You can hurt someone and not even know it
The next sixty seconds could be like an eternity
Gonna get low down, gonna fly high
All the truth in the world adds up to one big lie
I’m in love with a woman who don’t even appeal to me

Mr. Jinx and Miss Lucy, they jumped in the lake
I’m not that eager to make a mistake

People are crazy and times are strange
I’m locked in tight, I’m out of range
I used to care, but things have changed

-- or put another way, yin and yang --

"out of mind, far from view, beyond the reach of the nightmare come true..."

But, ya never know. I'll at least answer a "dissenter's roll call" when one is given.

CT deniers crack me up.

A conspiracy is three or more people agreeing in secret to commit a crime. Who on this board is delusional enough to try and pretend that conspiracy is not a substantial element in what takes place every day, in this pure-as-the-driven-snow fiasco that we laughingly call "life today"? It would be easier to list the few things which are NOT the result of conspiracy of some sort. Yet in spite of that undeniable fact there's constant sneering at CT? And that makes one "smart" I guess?

Give me a friggin' break! The epithet of "conspiracy theory" as a dismissive putdown has been used since primordial ooze as the #1 original cover up and favorite discrediting technique of those (for one, can-you-spell C-I-A, as a symbolic umbrella for all the other acronyms and assorted privatized Smedley-esque freaks) who seriously, no kidding, yes they really do, spin the damn things night and day. Wake up, this is 2012! We were way past this in overall comprehension of what's going on, back in 1970.

It really is depressing, watching what passes for intelligence marching constantly backward. God help the deniers when those who have lived long enough to see enough to know better are gone. Then, it will be actually Orwellian. There will be none left to dare (or even of a mind to, apparently) call it conspiracy. And so it will proceed, "...not with a bang, but a whimper".

Well not till we're gone from this world though! And we're not all gone yet.

Now, I don't know about this particular Anonymous/Rove story. But I do know this: 1) slapping a label of "CT" or "woo woo" on it disproves nothing; and 2) far stranger things than this have happened before. So I would think that a reasonable person would wait to see what else comes of it, or doesn't come of it, as the case may be. As for Moulitsos, this little episode has been enough to demonstrate to me, fwiw, that he is too small of a thinker to take seriously. So be it, no big loss there.

"when the hitman comes, he knows damn well he has been cheated... "

Somewhere in a lonely hotel room
There's a guy starting to realize
That eternal fate has turned its back on him
It's two a.m.

It's two a.m. the fear has gone
I'm sitting here waitin' the gun still warm
Maybe my connection is tired of takin' chances
Yeah there's a storm on the loose, sirens in my head
I'm wrapped up in silence, all circuits are dead
I cannot decode
My whole life spins into a frenzy

Help I'm steppin' into the Twilight Zone
This is a madhouse
Feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go
Now that I've gone too far
Help I'm steppin' into the Twilight Zone
This is a madhouse
Feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go
Now that I've gone too far
Soon you will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone
Soon you will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone

I'm falling down a spiral
Destination unknown
A double-crossed messenger
All alone
I can't get no connection
I can't get through
Where are you
Well the night weighs heavy on his guilty mind
This far from the borderline
And when the hitman comes
He knows damn well he has been cheated
And he says...

Help I'm steppin' into the Twilight Zone
This is a madhouse
Feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go
Now that I've gone too far
Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone
This is a madhouse
Feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go
Now that I've gone too far
Soon you will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone
Soon you will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone
When the bullet hits the bone

...

Help I'm steppin' into the Twilight Zone
This is a madhouse
Feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go
Now that I've gone too far
Help I'm steppin' into the Twilight Zone
This is a madhouse
Feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go
Now that I've gone too far
Soon you will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone
Soon you will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone
Soon you will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone
Soon you will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone
When the bullet hits the bone
When the bullet hits the bone
When the bullet hits the bone
When the bullet hits the bone
When the bullet hits the bone
When the bullet hits the bone
When the bullet hits the bone
When the bullet hits the bone

"When the ship comes in" (1963)

It's funny, POTUS's first election reminded me of this song, but of course now it seems to fit this election even better. Who knows, maybe Dylan is right about a ("sea changing"?) landslide. Hope so. Have to admit, I've had a hunch in that direction myself... was afraid to jinx it by saying so, though.

Oh the time will come up
When the winds will stop
And the breeze will cease to be breathin'
Like the stillness in the wind
Before the hurricane begins
The hour that the ship comes in

Then the sea will split
And the ships will hit
And the sands on the shoreline will be shakin'
Then the tide will sound
And the waves will pound
And the morning will be a-breakin'

Oh the fishes will laugh
As they swim out of the path
And the seagulls they'll be a-smilin'
And the rocks on the sand
Will proudly stand
The hour that the ship comes in

And the words that are used
For to get the ship confused
Will not be understood as they're spoken
For the chains of the sea
Will have busted in the night
And be buried on the bottom of the ocean

A song will lift
As the mainsail shifts
And the boat drifts on to the shoreline
And the sun will respect
Every face on the deck
The hour that the ship comes in

Then the sands will roll
Out a carpet of gold
For your weary toes to be a-touchin'
And the ship's wise men
Will remind you once again
That the whole wide world is watchin'

Oh the foes will rise
With the sleep still in their eyes
And they'll jerk from their beds and think they're dreamin'
But they'll pinch themselves and squeal
And they'll know that it's for real
The hour that the ship comes in

And they'll raise their hands
Sayin' 'we'll meet all your demands'
But we'll shout from the bow 'your days are numbered!'
And like Pharaoh's tribe
They'll be drownded in the tide
And like Goliath, they'll be conquered

"Be"

He is such a good writer. It's so cool that he would get involved himself and do this.

Just now got a serious weather alert warning on tv about the Potomac River flooding

I'm in Frederick County, Maryland. The alert says that the Potomac is going to flood at the town of Point of Rocks, not far from here, by midday Wednesday. Currently the river is at 2.9 feet. Flood stage is 16 feet. It's expected to crest at 30 feet on Wednesday! The alert came from the National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia.

This wasn't stated in the alert, but it also logically means that a whole of lot of bad will be heading down river from there and flooding places like Old Town in D.C.

I feel just like this...

(excited = fired up, ready to go! and see what's next)

POTUS said in 08 "I don't do cowering", well neither do I. Whatever is next, bring it on, whether good or bad.

About Waiting For Everyman

My namesake... http://youtu.be/GgXzWhexJh0 ... If I were asked to recommend only one political / history book it would be this one... http://www.amazon.com/Treason-America-Anton-Chaitkin/dp/0943235006 ... Treason in America: from Aaron Burr to Averell Harriman, by Anton Chaitkin. I do NOT endorse all of the views by Chaitkin external to this book, nor all of his actions, nor all of his associations, but I DO highly recommend this book. It is one every US citizen and everyone interested in its history should read. It it well written, meticulously sourced, and it is eye-opening -- even for those who consider themselves already knowledgeable. If you have not read it before, you need to read it, it is need-to-know information, and what it has to say is not going to be found in many places, if anywhere, else. That is my tip for whoever is passing by.
