I was talking with my barber today.
She did not know what was in Obamacare. I told her what was in it and she was surprised. I asked her, have you ever heard of Citizens United. She said no. I explained it to her. Her mouth dropped. I told her to google it.
My barber is a women who is married, has three kids, about 30 years old. She is smart, very grounded, and she does not have a clue what is going on is this country.
Trump needs to be studied.
The top colleges in the country need to create classes about Trump. How did we create a country where someone like Trump cannot only survive, he can thrive. Trump is stupid, a lousy liar, a lousy con man and yet he became president. Something is wrong.
If Trump is intelligent, then I'm a genius.
LOL. I feel like I'm living in an insane asylum. I cannot believe what I am watching. HELP!
Trump voters suffer from a mental condition I call the civil war syndrome.
This is when people know something is hurting them but don't have the ability to recognize who or what is hurting them. They end up supporting the who or what that is hurting them.
Most people in the South did not own slaves. They were poor dirt farmers, Extreme poverty. The cotton, slavery industry guaranteed they would stay that way for generations. Slavery was a job killer. The slave owners, plantation owners, owned everything.
All those poor dirt farmers marched off to war not knowing they were fighting for the people that hurt them the most. Some of them figured it out, but it was to late.
Trump voters don't know the biggest enemy they have are rich people like Trump. They are the ones that turn congress into a swamp. Right now republicans in congress along with trump and all the rich donors are doing things that make Trump voters life much worse.
The path Trump voters have taken has a name.
The Path of No Return.
Throughout history many people have attempted to take this path. The reasons they take this path are always the same. Anger ,hatred, fear and ignorance.
The path Trump voters have taken is littered with propaganda, lies and millions of graves. This path can only lead to tragedy. Only time will tell how severe this tragedy will be. One thing is certain, many Trump voters will have their lives ruined and some may never return.
Unfortunately they have dragged all us down this path with them. The people who did not want to take this path may also have their lives ruined.
This path we are on may lead to people losing their healthcare. It may lead to economic ruin or even war.
The german people of the 1930s took this path. The people of the american south in the 1860s took this path. They had no idea what was waiting for them down the Path of No Return.
The deep wounds of deregulation. They can be fatal.
Democracy cannot survive without regulations. Capitalism cannot survive without regulations.
How do you gain wealth and power without firing a shot? Deregulation? How do you wage a civil war without firing a single shot?Deregulation?
A few rich republicans have gained great power with deregulation. One example is citizens united. One of dumbest, most destructive decisions in supreme court history. It discriminates. It gives the rich the power to do what most people cannot do.
Trump , along with his rich allies have been on a deregulation binge ever since Trump took office. The EPA, the workplace, financial markets, real estate markets, the FCC. It's a power grab that could cause great harm down the road. A few rich republicans are trying to create the kind of country they want and they are winning.
The damage is starting to show.
After Moron was elected I knew it would take a while before we would see the results of electing a lunatic.
It has been reported more americans are now uninsured. That number will grow.
We had a negative jobs growth for the first time in about 6 or 7 years. Some say that was caused by the hurricanes. We shall see.
It takes a while before corruption starts to show. Moron is as corrupt as you can get. The people who work for him are corrupt. That will start to show soon. We are in for a rough ride.
Two things keep me sane. The Mueller investigation and the hope the democrats win back at least the house in next years election. Our future depends on those two things. I wish everyone here good luck.
There are two types of fear.
Good fear and bad fear.
Good fear stops you from walking out in front of a bus. We could not survive without the good fear.
The bad fear is when you imagine there are buses coming at you from every direction. As you react to the imaginary buses you get run over by the real bus.
Trump voters suffer from the bad fear. Thats why they don't make sense. Thats why they voted for trump. Its why they vote against their best interests.
The bad fear makes millions of trump voters who belong to unions vote to destroy unions and workers rights.
It makes millions of Trump voters who have Obamacare vote to destroy Obamacare. Some of them may die. Their vote may kill them.
They spend their time chasing imaginary buses like, Obama wasn't born here, Clinton is a crook, The boogieman is coming to take all their guns away. Immigrants are taking all our jobs, they are criminals. The list is long.
Trump voters are destroying their way of life because they suffer from the bad fear and they are taking us down with them.
I believe many Trump voters would support Trump attacking North Korea.
I met another Trump voter at work. She told me she has a son in the military. I told her I am a vet and she may regret her vote for Trump. While we were talking North Korea came up. She gave all the Trump, fox news talking points. We have paid them off for decades and it has not worked. Blah, blah, blah. I told her it would be a very bloody war. She said, One of our nuclear subs could destroy them. Yikes!
Thats the type of thinking we are all facing. Its like a plague in the republican party. It can only end one way. Badly.
