Why am I NOT surprised!
Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims Blast Rick Santorum On 'Equality' Comment
Muslims, Sikhs and Hindus are accusing Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum of bigotry and ignorance after he said that “equality” is solely a Judeo-Christian concept.
“Where do you think the concept of equality comes from?” Santorum said on the campaign trail last Friday (Jan. 20). “It doesn’t come from Islam. It doesn’t come from the East and Eastern religions. It comes from the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
Not everyone agreed.
“Sen. Santorum’s presidential campaign is now playing to the lowest common denominator of religious bigotry and prejudice by attacking Eastern religions and Islam,” said Aseem Shukla of the Hindu American Foundation. Santorum’s comments, Shukla added, “show a profound ignorance of the teachings of Dharma spiritual traditions, such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism.”
Santorum’s campaign did not answer repeated requests for comment.

..and the police is treating this as an animal cruelty case? what next? when the mafia puts a severed horse's head on someone's doorstep its animal cruelty too?..and is not a threat against the owner?
oh yeah..the "liberal" on the cat could be easily explained....hey its a liberal cat. That is all..nothing to see here..move along
Arkansas Democrat's cat killed, painted with "liberal"
LITTLE ROCK, Ark (Reuters) - A cat belonging to an Arkansas Democratic campaign manager was found dead on Sunday night with the word "Liberal" spray-painted across its side, the campaign manager said.
The cat was a pet of Jake Burris, who manages Democrat Ken Aden's bid for Arkansas' 3rd Congressional District. Aden is running against incumbent Republican Representative Steve Womack.

The Russellville Police Department is investigating the incident as an animal cruelty case, according to a police official. Russellville is 80 miles west of Little Rock.

Expect more such comments from him and the supporters of SOPA/PIPA as that draconian law goes down the drain.
Do these antiquated Media Moguls really think they can control the internet? I love to see how they are trying to prop up their predatory business model by trying to shackle the Free internet/Internet companies.

The Media companies and 'record labels" take the biggest cut of any sale. SOPA/PIPA is not about saving artists or musicians..they are all about retaining the stranglehold they have historically had on content providers. Newer Internet-company based business models are undercutting them, and the SOPA/PIPA is the Media-mogul's way of trying to muscle competition out. For example, only about 10% of sales revenue go to artists in the current model, while for example the Google music model gives 70% of the revenue to the artist.... and there are indie online-record labels which give about 90% of the revenue to the artists. No wonder the established recording labels are upset.

On Friday, Rupert Murdoch and his top executives gathered for a daylong private confab in Las Vegas to think big thoughts about digital stuff. I’m guessing there wasn’t a session entitled “How Great is Google?”
On Saturday, the News Corp. CEO used his new Twitter account to rail against the search giant, call it a “piracy leader,” and gripe that it had too much influence in Washington, and the White House, in particular. (Here we need to remind you that News Corp. owns this Web site.) Business Insider has all four of his “Internet makes me angry” tweets (Update: He’s back at it! More below), including the one he deleted, but here are the two relevant ones:

Here are a couple of Info-graphics detailing the reasons people oppose SOPA. Many companies try to explain away SOPA as something that merely prevents people from illegally downloading content. However it gives the government and media companies overarching rights to not only censor your websites and posts, but also to block your access to information...and even read your email without permission. Furthermore SOPA will give its supporters the right to take down your website even without a court order.
For example, if a few people post Youtube video's containing copyrighted songs on DU, DU could be taken down!..even though it's no fault of DU.
If SOPA passes, it will be the end of the internet as we know it. In fact we will be a monitored and censored society no different from China.
