GOAL: Pursue the maximum penalties for men who reportedly tortured a dog before slitting it's throat.
In Bastrop, Texas, a dog was reportedly tortured by two men who put him on the back of a horse before later slitting the poor animal's throat.
A video, which shows the dog being tortured and stabbed repeatedly, was reportedly filmed at a horse pen.
One of the men can be heard bragging that "Michael Vick has nothing on me," after putting a rope around the dog's neck.
Someone else yells words of encouragement as the man continues to slit the dog's throat.
Boots Stanley and Steven Sadler have since been charged with one count each of aggravated animal cruelty.
As the video shows, these men get pleasure from destroying an innocent animal in the most savage way imaginable.
People who enjoy torturing and killing animals are sadistic and pose a serious threat to the lives of others.

Dear Chief Campbell,
Two men reportedly tortured a dog and slit his throat at a kill pen where horses go before being slaughtered.
A video shows the dog struggling to stay atop a horse's back before being savagely and repeatedly stabbed.
The people who tortured and killed this dog are clearly sadistic and a danger to society.
We urge you to do everything possible to ensure that this poor animal receives justice and that these two are given the most severe penalty the law can allow.

Enterprise, the largest car rental company in the world, was recently revealed by the Center for Media and Democracy and The Guardian to be a dues-paying member of the American Legislative Exchange Council.
ALEC helps right-wing lawmakers fulfill corporate wish-lists on a variety of topics that undermine American health and safety - including spreading climate change denial and blocking climate solutions.
Enterprise makes "green" commitments to plant trees and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in public, but funds ALEC in private.
Enterprise must cut ties with ALEC immediately.

Ben Carson, the former presidential candidate and advisor to Donald Trump wants the GOP nominee to stop calling his opponent a racist.
"I don't usually get into the name-calling thing," Carson said in a phone interview with
The Daily Beast on Friday morning.
"I kind of left that behind in the third grade..I certainly don't encourage it because the issues that we're facing are incredibly important - for us and for the future generations."
On Thursday, Trump defended calling his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton a "bigot,"
A term with which he's taken to describing her this past week.
"She is a bigot," he said in a CNN interview.
"She's selling them (African-Americans) down the tubes because she's not doing anything for those communities..She talks a good game..But she doesn't do anything."
During a rally in New Hampshire on the same day, at which Carson introduced him, Trump assailed Clinton for saying that his voters are racists.
(She did not characterize them monolithically like this but rather pointed to a number of troublesome connections between Trump and white nationalists in a sharp critique in Reno yesterday)
But Carson - an often contemplative counterpart to Trump's brash, bullying persona -- said that he would not call Clinton a bigot, echoing the same sentiment as RNC spokesperson Sean Spicer who chose not to use the word on MSNBC Friday morning.

This is FRESH AIR. I'm Dave Davies, in for Terry Gross who's off this week.
It's fair to say no one's gotten more media attention this year than Donald Trump, maybe more attention than any presidential candidate ever.
Our guests today have spent a long time looking into Trump, but they aren't here to talk about the Trump controversy of the day or his most recent provocative statement.
Michael Kranish is an investigative reporter for the Washington Post.
Marc Fisher is a senior editor.
And they've written a book about Trump's life and career that's based on the work of more than 20 of the Post's reporters, editors and fact-checkers.
The authors say the Post wants to examine the major candidates' lives to help voters understand how they think, decide and act and how they might behave in office.
Trump gave the Post team more than 20 hours of interviews but declined to give permission for them to talk to his siblings or past associates who'd signed non-disclosure agreements.
Much of the information about Trump's business dealings had to be gleaned from court records and other public filings as well as hundreds of interviews.
Some of the findings of the Post's investigation have appeared in stories in the newspaper, and there's more in the new book:

I spoke to Michael Kramish and Marc Fisher yesterday.
Michael Kranish, Marc Fisher, welcome to FRESH AIR.
You know, there's a debate about whether Donald Trump's worth is mostly self-made or inherited.
And I learned from your book that it was actually his grandfather who started the family real estate business.
Tell us a little about him.
MICHAEL KRANISH
Sure. Well his grandfather came from Germany, although Donald Trump, for whatever reason, wrote in his 1987 autobiography, "The Art Of The Deal," that his grandfather came from Sweden.
That's not correct.
The family definitely came from Germany.
We actually sent a reporter to Germany, to that town.
Frances Sellers went to Germany and visited the town, did a story for the paper and reporting for the book.
So it's an example of how we're really able to write an all-encompassing biography here.
And she found that the grandfather did make a reasonable fortune - not a huge one - but went west, went out to the Klondike and then eventually moved to New York City.
So there was a business starting.
And then Donald Trump's father Fred became very successful in New York real estate.
DAVIES:
And what kind of business did Fred Trump, Donald's father, build?
KRANISH:
Well, Fred trump was an extraordinary builder for his time.
He built many thousands of apartments in what they called 'dumps on stumps' in Brooklyn and Queens.
And there were rentals, there were house sales, and he was very, very successful.
You look back at the clippings of that time and you actually see what a big deal Fred Trump was.
He wasn't the same kind of self-promoter that Donald turned out to be, but he was prety good in his own right.
And he eventually brought his son Donald into the family business in which they rented thousands of apartments in Brooklyn and in Queens.

Dog Stabbed and Burned with Chemicals - Police Must Find Attacker

A family dog suffered serious burns after he was doused in chemicals.
The dog was playing in his own backyard when an unknown attacker held him down and stabbed him three times.
The attacker then doused the dog's body in a chemical, possibly bleach or rat poison
Shocking images show the dog's torso completely burned by an unknown chemical.
The dog also suffered three puncture wounds in his side.
Authorities claim that the dog was likely held down through the fence during the attack.
Although he sustained substantial injuries, the dog is expected to survive.
This is the second known attack on a dog in County Cork in two weeks.
The Cork Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals states that the attacks are possibly linked.
Demand that justice is served for this innocent dog.

After the speech the chief was showing Trump around his cattle ranch.
